About the site
A quiet and friendly campsite, just off the A517, providing easy access to the iconic Peak District National Park, ten minutes away. It's a great base for outdoor lovers, with plenty of walking and cycling trails nearby, including the Tissington Trail, which starts in Ashbourne, as well as popular routes such as the Monsal Trail and Mam Tor. The site offers spacious pitches for both campers and tourers. There are non electric 8m x 6m grass pitches, along with electric grass and hardstanding pitches measuring 4m x 6m, all with a 16 amp electric hook up. For rallies, there's a large rally field with electric and non electric pitches available. The site also has several seasonal pitches available. If you're more partial to a stroll and a cup of tea, head to the historic market town of Ashbourne, just a ten minute drive away. Wander its charming cobbled streets steeped in Tudor and Georgian heritage, before browsing the many independent shops, cafes and antique stores. A bus stop is also just a five minute walk from the site, providing easy access to the town. Up to two dogs are welcome to join you on your stay, but please ensure they are kept on their leads. The site allows raised BBQs, however, campfires and open fires are not permitted. You can even grab handy essentials from the local farm shop, a half an hour walk away.
