Uppertown Farm Camping and Caravan Site, Ashbourne, Derbyshire

Uppertown Farm has plenty to recommend its location - as the closest site to Carsington Water's visitor centre, which is ideal for water sport fans. It's also a quick 10 minute drive from the southern Peak District for top days out. And if you don't want to go too far, there are dog friendly walks and a cosy pub very close by. Relax at this back to basics spot and be sure to bring your own facilities with you.

About the site

The site offers excellent views of the reservoir and includes a spacious rally field which is large enough for weddings, events and gatherings - with room for 60 caravans. In the main camping area of this working farm you'll find uncrowded and fully flat grass pitches with easy access to drinking water. Dogs welcome.

Open from 1 March to 31 October.

Things to do on site and in the Ashbourne area

Hire a bike locally and take a spin around the shimmering reservoir, or bring the bike to Ashbourne and join the well known Tissington Trail.

Carsington has a host of water-based options for you to try, with lessons available for all levels and a chance to try sailing, fishing, windsurfing and more.

Kids will love the adventure playground at Carsington Water and there are also tasty restaurants, shops to browse and picnic areas for those who've brought a few tasty bites with them.
