It was our first time camping with our 2 year old and 3 year old and we loved it. Facilities were clean with plenty of hot showers, friendly staff and a nice play park for the kids. There are also some lovely walks, we loved the Nine Ladies. The only slight negative were the noisy peacocks and our boys didn't enjoy the 10pm fireworks.

This is a great site for young families. We stayed over Jubilee weekend and it was chaos. Very busy and very noisy. Amazing location, great walking and lovely pub (Druid Inn). Don't think we would go back though.

Been visiting here for years now and always love it. My only gripe is the mess that some inconsiderate campers leave around. It's a shame as the people who work there try very hard to keep it clean and tidy…
Too busy and noisy, but good location

The campsite was overbooked for the jubilee weekend with people forced to camp at very close quarters. The campsite had arranged noisy concerts and fireworks for every evening, which didn't end until gone 10pm meaning the campsite was noisy until at least 11pm.The location and facilities were good, but if you're looking for a tranquil campsite, this isn't the place for you.

Fab time - loads of fun stuff going on all weekend for the jubilee. Mini festival vibes for kids and adults! Lovely walks nearby too straight from the campsite!

Great campsite, facilities always really clean and available, they have thought of everything. Couldn't fault it. We have 3 year old twins and a 7 year old, they loved it - the playground, the peacocks - ( be warned, they are noisy), the cows and alpacas, the walks leading straight from the site and the 5 min walk to nearest pub!

Lovely site, you can walk to the 2 pubs but you do need to book a table if you wish to eat. The site is in a lovely location with a little onsite shop selling everything you could wish for.

Lovely site, which despite being very busy for the Jubilee weekend, had enough facilities all.

I'm not sure if it was due to the Bank Holiday celebrations, but the entertainment was amazing. Really impressed with what was on offer during our stay. The only disappointing part of our trip was that we were unaware that we had to pre-order pizzas. Therefore when we were ready to eat at 6pm, we were told they were booked up until 10pm. We therefore queued for chips which were nice, but took 45 minutes. Thank you for a really enjoyable trip.

We went for a 2 night stay camping over the Jubilee weekend and it was brilliant! There were food and drink stand and plenty of activities for children of all ages. There were bands on every evening with a great atmosphere. The campsite had plenty of toilets and showers so we never had to queue. It was very clean and the staff went above and beyond.
Fantastic first camping experience!

Had an amazing couple of days at Barn Farm! Lots to do onsite and surrounding, went on some lovely walks that were just on the door step. The local pubs were fully booked for tea servings, however were open for a drink. Would suggest booking in advance (just in case). Onsite toilets and showers were clean and many were available. Store was open at reasonable times and had lots on offer, from food to camping supplies! Had a horsebox that was open serving breakfast sarnies/ cuppas and later on, chips! Really was a lovely time!

Very nice and clean place, we went on the Queen's Jubilee weekend and stayed on the overflow field, which I think was better than the other fields because it was flatter. There was loads to do for all the family and the farm is close to some great walks as well. The only things that could make the place even better would be a bigger park for the kids to play on and a designated playing field because when the overflow field got full, there was not a lot of room for the kids to play games without hitting other tents and cars.

Lovely campsite, very clean facilities with lovely soft Cushelle toilet paper 🤣. A singer and band played on Thursday & Friday evenings, along with a bar, pizza oven, burger van, pancake hut and inflatables. There were also fireworks on Friday night. It's a 5 minute stroll into Birchover to 2 pubs and a 1 hour walk to Robin Hood's Stride. Short drive into Matlock and Bakewell. Lovely site, would highly recommend!

Whilst it was very busy over the Jubilee Celebrations, the staff worked extremely hard to maintain their high standards. We will definitely be back in the future.

Great site, great facilities, great location and open spaces for playing in. The peacocks add a certain element of mystique to the site, just a shame they are so loud! I will be visiting again.
Amazing as always!

Just love everything about this campsite. Also love the fact they never overbook and squeeze too many tents in. Makes it a lovely, relaxing and family friendly place to stay.
