About the site

Set on an organic farm within Exmoor National Park, Berry's Ground Lane Campsite offers peaceful, spacious camping with direct access to the South West Coast Path. It's an ideal base for a relaxed North Devon camping holiday, where families and couples can enjoy open space, fresh air, wildlife and wide coastal views. The campsite is thoughtfully spread across 40 acres, with non-electric pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes. There are no more than five pitches per field, giving everyone plenty of room to relax, play and unwind. Each pitch is clearly marked, helping maintain a calm, uncrowded feel throughout the site. Directions to your individual pitch are sent in the run up to your stay. We love having families on site and under 5's stay free. Whether you prefer to slow down and enjoy the views, spot wildlife, or head out exploring, there's plenty to do nearby. The charming villages of Lynton and Lynmouth are just a ten-minute drive away, offering cafés, shops and attractions including the historic cliff railway. Hunter's Inn pub is five minutes by car or can be reached on a scenic circular walk. We are off-grid with no showers, wifi or electricity - a chance to get back to nature and enjoy a sea swim nearby. Evenings can be spent gathered around a campfire in one of the site's raised fire pits, available free of charge, with logs available to buy. Barbecues are welcome too, making it easy to enjoy relaxed outdoor meals together. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, with up to two allowed per pitch, making this a great option for the whole family.

Berry's Ground is open for the late May bank holiday week, the first two weekends of July and then from 21st July to 26th August. Pitches from £24/night for 2 people.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesJul 2025

My partner and I recently stayed here, and it was exactly the kind of break we were hoping for. The views over the Channel were absolutely stunning — especially at sunset. It’s the kind of place where you can just sit back, breathe deeply, and let the world fade away for a while. Katie, the host, was brilliant — super responsive and helpful with anything we needed. She made everything feel easy and welcoming. If you're after somewhere peaceful to unplug, recharge, and soak up some seriously beautiful scenery, this campsite is the one. Quiet, scenic, and really well looked after.

A note from the site themselves...

This campsite is set on my parents' farmland, and it's a real joy to be able to share this beautiful space during the summer months with people from all over the country and beyond. Over the years, it's been a pleasure to see the sense of calm and happiness our campsite brings to those who stay here, perched high on the cliffs of the North Devon coast.

We welcome families, dogs, and relaxed campers who are looking to slow down, enjoy evenings around the campfire, marvel at the stars, and appreciate peace and space rather than organised activities or busy facilities.

Farming and wildlife are central to life here. Our organic farming practices support a rich natural environment, with fields that are home to rare butterflies and many songbirds. Guests often spot rabbits and deer in neighbouring fields or across the valley, and it's not unusual to see birds of prey such as buzzards circling overhead.

We can't wait to host you - see you soon!
