You'll find plenty of opportunities to test your skills at surfing, kayaking and coasteering. Woolacombe Surf Centre offers surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons and rentals, as does Hunter Surf School. Those who may be even more adventurous can even visit Fly Like a Bird for thrilling tandem hang gliding flights if the weather permits. Woolacombe Riding Stables is also on hand to help you explore the local area, offering horse-riding trips for all abilities for a great family day out.
A little further along the coast, the pretty Barricane Beach is a great place to check out rockpools and there is a delicious café there too. The many pubs and restaurants within Woolacombe itself are also a haven for tired beachgoers and sightseers, serving up a selection of brilliant local ales and culinary treats.
