About the site

The Quiet Site has been welcoming visitors to the Lake District for more than 50 years. This award winning park is situated in an idyllic setting overlooking Ullswater yet is only 15 minutes from the M6. There are hardstanding pitches to suit caravans and motorhomes, on tarmac, stone or gravel. There are two fields, close to services and offering great views from their top end. Tent campers are welcome too, in surrounds that feel Alpine, with great views. All tent pitches have 6-Amp electric hook-ups. If your tent is larger than 8 metres please book two pitches. The Glamping Burrows comprises 15 spacious underground living spaces each with a WC, soft sleep ledge, large covered patio areas and a fantastic view of Ullswater. These insulated spaces can hold up to 2 adults and 4 children, and take the tent hassle out of your camping! Dogs are welcome in some of the burrows. The site also has a range of pods, a stylish glamping pod cabin for two (ensuite) and bell tents. Pods are fantastic protection from the elements with a secluded decking area and heaters, lighting and charging points etc. included. They sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children. Some pods accept dogs, so please request these when booking. The bell tents suit a family of 6 and offer a plug socket for lights and charging devices. They do not accept dogs but provide the ease and comfort of not having to bring a tent!

The Quiet Site's season normally runs from January until December. Sign up to alerts and we'll let you know when bookings re-open.
