Whether you're exploring the Dales or the Lakes, Little Acre Camping is ideal - only a 15 minute drive from both. Relax in the tent here and take the pooch for a stroll by the peaceful Lancaster Canal (just adjacent to site) or hop on a convenient bus to Kendal or Kirkby Lonsdale (both 15 minutes away). Just across the road, about a five minute walk away is the popular dog friendly Crooklands Hotel, with a bar and very good food served all day.

Lovely site and Paul the site owner was great too. It was clean and quiet after 10pm. I couldn't believe how good the WiFi on the site is either, kept my 14 year old happy!

What a little gem this site is, slap bang on the canal and the views are fantastic. The pizza van on Friday nights is ace and the owners and son were very welcoming. The facilities are perfect and it's a small perfect site. Will definitely stay again, thank you.

Excellent little site, friendly owners, clean facilities and great access to main roads into the lakes. 3 or 4 min walk to local pub with good selection of local ale.

Lovely little campsite that is conveniently located not far from the M6 and a short drive for the Lakes and Kendal etc. We stayed the weekend of the Crooklands country festival, which was a short walk away along the canal. The facilities are spotless and perfect for our needs. The owners are fantastic, very friendly and helpful and helped us out when we forgot our 240-110v adapter. We arrived on Friday night and they were doing stone baked pizzas to order. Great little campsite, dog friendly, kids had fun and would definitely recommend.

Booked to try out new tent, but loved the site. Paul was an extremely nice bloke and the site was very clean and tidy. Facilities small, but very clean & warm. Only stayed 2 nights but definitely going back. Right on the Lancaster canal & only just over 15 minutes to Kendal.

Me and my boyfriend stayed over the weekend, last minute spontaneous camping for our anniversary! We had the best time, Paul is lovely and extremely friendly. We had trouble with our tent the minute we arrived, to then realise it had broken (we should've checked it before putting it in the car😂)! Paul came over with some tape which was lovely of him! Safe to say we had to go and buy another tent😂😂 The showers are 20p for 3 minutes which we think is very good and the water was lovely and warm too! You can tell the owners go out of their way to help anyone and this campsite was just perfect for our first time camping together! We wanted to thank you in person, Paul, but we had to leave early hours of the morning as our tent just decided to give up because of the wind 😂 Highly recommend this place! Thank you for a lovely stay x

We stayed here with our 3 young children and had the best time! The staff are fantastic and very approachable/friendly. We made use of the local bus stop for a trip to Kendall which was beautiful. The grounds are very well maintained and the facilities are spot on. We would definitely recommend this site and will definitely be returning in the near future.
