A peaceful park with excellent access from the M6, Sandvilla Stays is a great place for a relaxing touring break. It's a mere 15 mins to Lancaster for urban days out and feeding the alpacas on site is sure to help you enjoy a family stay.
This family run site makes a great stopover point on a journey up north, thanks to its location not far from the motorway. It's close to a small village (Cockerham) and good countryside for walks and biking. Walkers can access the Lancashire Coastal Way and there are lots of attractions in driving distance. Pitches are just for tourers and motorhomes with their own on-board facilities, set on hardstanding with electric. It's a small site with plenty of space and an enclosure of alpacas to meet. Although it's worth noting that the road from site does not have a footpath, guests can drive short distance to access a selection of local walks. Dog friendly.
Open from 1 March to 30 October

Feeding the alpacas on the smallholding is a lovely way to get the kids excited about farm living or you can bring the kids to the nearest ice cream spot (short drive). A local brewery means the adults could have a day out with a tour and tipple too.
An easy drive will also take you to Lancaster for its medieval castle or riverside walks and it's not too far to Blackpool's buzzing attraction either.
