About the site
Part of Pegs and Pitches Camping, this off-grid glamping site is located in private five-acre woodland near Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Guests are treated to a lovely woodland setting, a space for crackling fires, tweeting birds and den building. It's an ideal place to connect with the outdoors while being an easy reach of London and Brighton. The nine pre-erected 5m bell tents are set in a superb bluebell wood of 5 acres, where each has its own fire pit, grill for cooking on and picnic bench. Inside are comfy beds, cooking equipment and a bag of firewood to get you started. The site also has two faraway bell tents tucked away in seclusion - perfect for couples or families who want a little more privacy. Some of the bell tents are closer together for those coming in groups. Cars are parked away from the camping area so campers can relax in nature. It's ideal for families and groups to reconnect and renew friendships or chat with fellow campers around the campfire. Whole campsite bookings can also be made if you have a special occasion. Please note, the campsite is off-grid so has no electric. Campers will have a back to nature experience that won't easily be forgotten!

My 8 year old and I spent two nights here at the end of summer. The location is easy to reach from London, but feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle. The fact there is no electricity means the peace and quiet of this magical woodland setting is maintained, yet the hosts provide everything you need, so it's perfectly balanced between low-effort camping and peace and quiet, unlike some Glamping sites which feel like Holiday Parks! The Wardens being on site 24/7 was really reassuring as I was travelling solo with my 8 yo, not that we needed to bother them during our stay, but knowing they were there in case of emergency was great. We received a warm welcome and once we were shown around and how everything worked, we were then left to relax, explore and soak in the beautiful surroundings. I would 10/10 recommend if you're looking for somewhere peaceful, quiet, in nature but close to attractions to keep the family entertained during the days, look no further!

My family comprising of a 4 and 7 year old came to stay here, and all I can I say is from the moment we arrived it was like stepping into another world. Set in woodland location it has 9/10 large bell tents, everyone gets their own fire pit and picnic table and there are also 2 communal fire pits so you can meet your neighbours. The tents are large enough for 4 people, luggage and kitchen ware supplied by the camp. Upon arrival we were greeted by Lewis, a lovely warden that even helped with our wheelbarrow! He showed us around and we immediately felt welcomed by all. The children made friends with all the other little campers and they were able to roam around the site safely running after the bluebell steam train that went past every hour or so - it was a truly amazing experience- and I'm sure we'll be back again. We were very lucky with the weather and plucked the courage to an outdoor bucket shower which was actually such a great experience. Highly recommend this place!

This is a delightful site set in woodland and surrounded by gorgeous countryside and farmers fields. We stayed in a faraway pitch, which was slightly distanced from the other tents. We had our own glade with a fire pit covered by a tarpaulin, which was great when it rained. Everything we needed for catering the weekend - the only thing you need to pack is your bedding. Site managers Jesse and Lewis were really lovely, created a nice welcoming atmosphere and super helpful. Perfect escape, especially with kids as they can run wild in woodland without fear of traffic. Some great places to visit near by too if you like National Trust and gardens. Also nice villages. We loved it and will be back!
