About the site
Set across 52 acres of meadows and woodland, the site makes a spacious base for both families and couples. Head to Bournemouth, just 25 minutes away, to explore the stunning sandy coastline, with popular beaches including Highcliffe Beach, Boscombe Beach, Southbourne Beach, Canford Cliffs Beach, and Branksome Chine Beach all within 30 minutes. Onsite, there are 300 grass pitches measuring 14m x 8m, all without electric and suitable for tents only. For a little extra comfort, choose from four glamping pods, each with a double bed, lounge area with a single sofa bed and a kitchenette. Outside, each pod has its own small private grass area. There's also a cosy shepherd's hut with a bedroom and kitchenette equipped with a gas hob, mini fridge and sink, with shared facilities nearby. For a classic glamping experience, there are four safari tents, each with bedroom areas, a lounge and kitchenette complete with a mini fridge and kitchen essentials. All have a large porch and private outdoor space. Bedding is provided, but please bring your own towels. For a fully equipped stay, upgrade to the ensuite cabin, featuring a double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette and bathroom with an outdoor shower. Outside, you'll have your own private patio with seating, a BBQ, vegetable patch and a wood-fired hot tub! A collection of static caravans is also available. There's plenty to enjoy without leaving the site, including a lake, duck pond and children's play area. The stables offer animal petting opportunities, while the Barnhouse Bar offers a pizza oven, picnic areas and even live entertainment on selected nights. Seasonal events and visiting food trucks add more to the fun. If you fancy heading out for a drink or bite to eat, Drusilla's Inn is just a ten minute walk away. The New Forest National Park is only 20 minutes away, making it easy to spend a day exploring its scenic trails, peaceful woodlands and open landscapes, with plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting along the way. Dogs are welcome, and fires are allowed. Please note that the park is currently undergoing some refurbishment, which may be visible during the day. Meadowview Stables and Petting is a separate, independently run business. Visits must be pre-booked directly with the business in advance, as availability on the day is not guaranteed. Please do not approach or pet the animals without permission.
