About the site

Oakhill Leisure is close to the historic market town of Newark and the cathedral city of Lincoln. Set within 70 acres of managed woodlands, lake and fields, you're free to roam, relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There are 20 touring pitches with electric hook ups, all on well cut and maintained grass. Tents are also welcome and there are grassed non electric pitches for campers. Ask to pitch up in one of the rally fields with non electric pitches, and you will be well away from it all. A 20-30 minute walk takes you around the fishing lake, woodlands and fields on site and makes the perfect excuse for some daily exercise. In the evening, you can also cook up a tasty BBQ, just please ensure it is raised from the ground. Please note, open fires are not permitted. Four-legged friends are welcome too, with up to two dogs permitted per pitch.

Oakhill Leisure is open from 01/01 to 08/08 and 14/09 to 31/12.

Please note that there are no electric hook-ups available to tent users.

There are four male toilets (with one urinal) and four female toilets as well as six unisex showers with hot water and their own individual dressing area with a bench and hooks. The facilities are located in one main block with underfloor heating and accessible facilities, coins are not required. The laundry room has a washer, dryer, dressing table with electric sockets and a hair dryer.

Fire pit hire available and WiFi is provided. Caravan and motorhome storage is also available.

Nearby, Witham St Hughs and Bassingham both have a pub, Bassingham has a Spar shop with butchers, deli and a post office.

Is Oakhill Leisure dog friendly?

Yes you're welcome to bring up to two dogs during your stay, provided they are kept on a lead whilst at the site and are not a breed/crossbreed listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act. There's plenty of room for dog walking within the surrounding 70 acres of woodland and fields too.

What time is check-in/out at Oakhill Leisure?

Check-in here is from 12:30pm till 5pm and your departure is due by 11am on your final day.

Yep, and the fishing lake onsite is well stocked with Roach, Rudd and Tench as well as Carp weighing up to 35lbs. Pre booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
