About the site
Within an hour of London, Windsor, Reading, Oxford, the New Forest and the South Coast lies this woodland site. Open all year round, this park offers a spot for an outdoor getaway in an area that was once the favourite hunting spot of Tudor royals. There are grass pitches suitable for up to four to eight guests, measuring 9m x 9m. These pitches are for tents only, and there is the option to add 6 amp electric to your booking. For tourers, there are non electric hardstanding pitches, fully serviced hardstanding pitches and XL fully serviced hardstanding pitches. The fully serviced pitches have drainage, a water hook up, a chemical disposal point and 10 amp electric (with the option to upgrade to 16 amp if you wish). For those who prefer glamping, there are two person and four person camping pods with a fridge, heater, TV, kettle, microwave and toaster. For sleeping, there are twin beds and the addition of a bunk bed in the four person pods. Outside is a small decking area and a grass area with a BBQ. Please bring all your usual camping equipment, minus the tent. Facilities for guests staying in the camping pods or the camping and touring pitches are shared. For something a bit more equipped, opt for one of the glamping cabins that sleep up to five or up to eight guests. There is a double bed and a triple sleeper bunk, plus an extra triple sleeper bunk in the larger cabins. Bedding is provided. You'll also have a kitchenette with a cooker, microwave, kettle, fridge, utensils and a dining area, plus a sofa and TV for your evening entertainment. Longmoor fishing lake is next door to the site, and guests are welcome to fish, provided they have the correct rod licence. Plus, explore the nature trails and woodland walks of California Country Park. The site is dog friendly, so feel free to bring your four legged friend. BBQs are welcome but sorry, no campfires permitted. Please note that there is building work going on onsite so there may be some noise.
California Chalet and Touring Park is open from 23/04 to 31/12. Pitches from £25/night for 2 people.
