About the site

A great location for those in search of a traditional camping getaway on the Cornish Coast. This family friendly campsite provides basic amenities and glorious sea and countryside views to wake up to! The field is flat at the top, making it ideal for tents, caravans, and campervans, with a gentle slope leading down to a meadow of wildflowers. There is plenty of space for field games like football or for dog walking. The non electric grass pitches accommodate up to six guests. Or, opt for the Sunset bell tent. Sleeping up to two, the tent comes furnished with a double air bed and a bedside table, plus a private fire pit just outside. Please just be sure to bring along your own bedding, linen and cooking equipment. For days out, visitors will be spoilt for choice. The seaside towns of Penzance and St Ives are just a ten minute drive away, offering fresh seafood, charming harbours and unique independent shops. Long Rock Beach (10 minutes) is perfect for sunbathing and swimming, with stunning views of St Michael's Mount. For those seeking adventure, options include a trip to the Isles of Scilly, a show at the Minack Theatre or activities such as surfing, rock climbing, fishing, paddleboarding, horse riding, coastal walking and cycling. If you want to cook up a tasty dinner, fire pits and BBQs are both permitted, with logs and kindling available to purchase onsite. Four-legged friends are welcome to join you for your stay, with up to three dogs allowed per pitch and one pup in the bell tent.

Grass pitches are available year round. The bell tent is open from April until 1st October. Pitches from £22/night for 2 people.

Absolutely loved spending bank holiday weekend at this beautiful camp site. Lovely staff, showed us all around, even gave tips for trips, parking spots etc. As we were larger group (3 pitches) they set us up in a prime spot with the best views. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful location with beautiful views over the bay. We were given a lovely quiet spot in the bottom field, but there was a larger field at the top which accommodated families with children and campervans. Staff were super helpful and friendly! Amenities were clean and we were given a fire pit to borrow for the evening! Great stay will definitely be returning!

A well located site for Penzance and St Ives. Be prepared for a slope - chocks for a van are essential! Beautiful views over Mount's Bay. We were there over August bank holiday and found the facilities could just about cope with the number of people, although only 1 washing up sink and 1 hand washing sink by the loos did seem a little bit of an under provision, but wouldn't be an issue at quieter times of the year. However, the facilities were clean and well maintained, and the showers hot and powerful.

A note from the site themselves...

We are the 4th generation in my family who have the privilege to farm Garris Farm.

One of my childhood favourite memories is riding around on my Uncles tractor sat on a biscuit tin for a seat, the same tractor is used on the farm today.

It's a dream come true for me to work at the place that has given me a lifetime of memories.

Just ten minutes away is St Michael's Mount, a tidal island with a historic castle, beautiful gardens, and breathtaking views. You can walk across the causeway at low tide or take a short boat ride when the tide is in.

In just 15 minutes, you can visit Mousehole, one of Cornwall's prettiest fishing villages. Wander its narrow streets, enjoy fresh seafood and watch the boats in the charming harbour. It's perfect for a relaxing day by the sea.
