About the site
For an off-grid, eco-friendly glamping escape with that extra touch of luxury, look no further. Located in South Devon, surrounded by picturesque countryside, this site is a must-visit for families and couples looking to unwind to the sounds of wildlife. The site is hidden within acres of woodland meadow and consists of four insulated eco domes, each warmed by their own wood burner and perched next to a running stream that can be heard at night. All four geodesic domes are kitted out with king-sized beds with award-winning Emma mattresses, plus pull-out or bunk beds for little ones. Outside you will have an outdoor decking area with furniture and a private, fully equipped kitchen, shower and eco loo. Two domes also come with a wood-fired hot tub for two. Glass of wine, anyone? In keeping with the off-grid vibe, there is no direct access to this site - you'll need to carry your belongings from your car for 150 metres through the woods and over the stream. However, with bedding, toiletries and kitchenware all provided, you shouldn't have too much to carry! If you can bring yourself to leave this small piece of paradise for the day, Dartmoor National Park is just five minutes away and some of South Devon's most picturesque beaches are under half an hour away. The site is a registered Greener Camping site, meeting strict recycling, land use and environmental standards. This does mean guests who book will need to be a member, but this can be purchased when you check out. Only the Haytor dome is dog-friendly. Campfires are also allowed in the fire pits provided.
Dartmoor Domes is open from 31/03 to 30/10.
