About the site
Within the park's abundant space, you'll find more than 100 pitches, which allow guests to relax, free from disturbance and facilitate the development of a 'quality-of-life' philosophy for the park. In addition to the six-acre caravan park, 18 acres of the park is set aside for woodland. Thanks to careful conservation and stewardship, the area has an abundance of thriving natural wildlife, fauna and flora. The site has won awards for conservation. Open areas have been created in order to encourage insects, bees and bird life as well as wildflowers. The site has also previously been ranked as one of Practical Caravan's Top 100 Sites. There are 22 fully serviced hardstanding pitches all with electric, water and a grey waste drain. 12 are Superior fully serviced which would suit a large caravan, motorhome or 5th wheeler a bench is included with this pitch type. The other ten are standard fully serviced pitches. The park offers a further ten large hardstanding and 36 standard hardstanding pitches, which are suitable for motorhomes, caravans or campervans. The large hardstanding pitches also have a bench included. There are 13 large astroturf pitches suitable for motorhomes, caravans, campervans and tents and for camping with electric there are ten standard astroturf pitches, which are ideal for tents or campervans. For pitches without an electric hook up, the park offers 15 dog friendly grass pitches, which are suitable for motorhomes, caravans, campervans or tents. If you have a tent or small campervan there is a wild camping area with around 20 unmarked spaces in a beautiful woodland glade. If you love the idea of whiling away an evening by an open fire and making the most of the dark skies, you can rent a fire pit from the on site shop. You are welcome to bring your own fire pit but this must be approved by a member of the team and you'll need to use the site's own briquettes which are made for safety and ecology. The park does not allow guests to burn any natural wood on site. The wild camping area, 'Emma's Glade', is a beautiful woodland area in the SSSI next to the wildlife lakes. There's no electricity or dogs in this area. Camping pitches with electric are in 'The Warren' and 'Fir', closer to reception, while Damson is a large flat camping area surrounded by trees and adjacent to Emma's Glade and the amenity blocks. For glampers, the site has a selection of fabulous glamping units. All are equipped with a double bed, outdoor cooking station, fire pit, outside furniture and large decked area, everything to make your stay comfortable. All you need to bring is bedding and towels. There are three large pods, one medium-sized pod, two wooden lodges a yurt and four shepherd's huts. The Heather and Bramble shepherd's huts are ensuite. Each unit has electricity and heating. Glamping accommodation is all pet friendly. The shepherd's huts and Yurt have a toasty wood burner and chic furnishings and the spacious yurt has a 5m diameter interior. Dogs are not allowed in the wild camping area which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Both provide space to park your car next to your unit with the facilities being just nearby.
