About the site
Located on a working sheep farm, the site is close to some of the South Coast's best sandy beaches and the South Downs National Park. The park is ideally located for days at the seaside or exploring nearby Chichester, just a 20 minute drive away. For those bringing a small or backpacker tent, the site has nine non electric grass pitches available, each accommodating up to three people. These pitches are perfect for those stopping over on a walking holiday. The remaining grass pitches come with the option of an electric hook up, welcoming tents, caravans and campervans. There are a total of 35 standard pitches, which allow up to six guests and units of up to 5m in length, 13 large grass pitches which allow up to ten guests and units of up to 7m in length and 36 extra large pitches which allow up to six guests and units of up to 8m. For caravans and campervans up to 8m in length, there are also 20 large all-weather hardstanding pitches, great for any season. Each of these pitches comes with an optional electric hook up, along with a water point on or near your pitch. Please note that cars are not permitted on the pitches unless you are a blue badge holder. Trees and hedges shelter the pitches, providing shade and shelter, ideal for the warm summer months. These are kept wild to encourage wildlife and wildflowers to flourish. This area of the site is not lit due to the dark skies policy, which benefits nocturnal wildlife. The entrance and facility block are well-lit. The peaceful private lanes and grounds surrounding the farm make it an ideal holiday for families and couples wishing to escape the pressures of modern life. It is advised to use the main access lane to enter the site rather than the two farm lanes, which are better for walking into the village. The park has previously won many awards including a Quality in Tourism 4 star rating, Green Tourism's Gold Award, a Sustainability Award for Small Businesses in the South East and several "Beautiful South" awards including a Gold for Responsible, Ethical and Sustainable Tourism, Gold for Access and Inclusivity and three Gold Awards for Camping, Caravanning and Holiday Park of the Year. The farm also permits campfires and BBQs, great for evenings spent outdoors. You may bring your own or hire from reception upon arrival, with food available to purchase from the onsite shop. Please note that the shop has limited opening hours from October to March and is only open by request. Four legged friends are welcome too, so don't forget to pack the dog biscuits!
Standard electric grass pitches, XL non electric pitches and XL hardstanding pitches are open all year round. All other grass pitches are open from April to the end of September. Pitches from £25/night for 2 people.
