About the site

This family and dog friendly park offers a relaxing stay, set amongst woodlands and farmland. There is plenty to enjoy onsite, including two fishing lakes, an indoor barn with games, a cycle track, BMX track and a soft play area! The site offers 25 hardstanding pitches, approximately 8.5m x 12m, spread throughout two large fields with 16 amp electric hook ups. Suitable for tourers and motorhomes up to 9m in length. There are simple, unfurnished camping pods sized either 2.32m x 2.7m and sleeping up to two adults and two children, or 2.66m x 2.52m and sleeping up to two adults and four children. There are pet free and pet friendly options of each pod type. Each pod includes simple essentials, including lighting, heating and a power socket. Outside, you will have a decking area and picnic bench. Please note, guests will need to bring along all of their own beds, bedding, cooking equipment and utensils. The parking area is also around 115m away. Onsite, you will also find a range of camping/touring pitches and static caravans. In the evening, you can enjoy a meal at The Barn Pub and Restaurant, open Thursday to Monday, serving homemade food and takeaways. Or, if you would rather cook, raised BBQs are permitted. Do note, open fires are not allowed. Dogs can join you for your stay, with up to two pups allowed per pod.

The Barn Pub and Restaurant is open Thursday to Monday, with lunch only available on Sunday. Here, there is a soft play area, climbing wall, table tennis, football table and pool table (small extra charge and open daily from 10am).

I can definitely recommend this campsite; the staff were very helpful, informative and friendly. All the facilities and campsite were kept very clean and tidy. Around the campsite there were some nice walks to take the dog for a walk and there were bike tracks for the bike enthusiasts. There is also a fishing lake that looks very well looked after but due to the weather of torrential rain I was unable to fish the lake which I was informed is well stocked and with some nice sized fish. Within the campsite is the Barn pub and restaurant and the food is exceptional, all the people frequenting the pub were all friendly and you were made very welcome.

A last minute booking became a weekend to remember for all the right reasons. The camping pod we stayed in was located in a lovely woodland setting with outdoor cooking hub under an oak tree. The site was immaculate with an excellent little pub/restaurant on site and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Even though we stayed during Storm Amy, we were warm and cosy and woke to the sounds of silence in our little woodland glade. The site is convenient to Fountains Abbey and the beautiful historic town of Ripon. We can't wait to go back.

We just stayed here and the accommodation was excellent. The site was fully serviced, including constant water. No more messing around. We had a go on the fishing lake but no good, would still recommend.
