About the site
With views over the Yorkshire Wolds, this peaceful family friendly site offers guests a luxury stay in the countryside. Bugthorpe Grange is also home to several retired horses and they can be seen grazing in the paddocks near the pods. There is abundant wildlife around Bugthorpe Grange and you may be fortunate enough to see hares, deer and even barn owls. There are numerous picturesque country walks to enjoy on the Wolds and around the North York Moors National Park which is just 30 minutes away. There are four luxury glamping pods to choose from, each with its own ensuite wet room and underfloor heating. These sleep up to five guests with two double beds and one single bunk. All bedding and towels are provided. Inside is a dining area and a well-equipped kitchen with a ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and fridge with an ice compartment. Crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment are provided. There is also WiFi, a smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, sofa, complementary tea/coffee and a welcome hamper with breakfast essentials! Outside, guests can enjoy a private decking area with seating and a fire pit. A pack of locally sourced logs is also supplied, and guests are welcome to hire an 'Outdoor Chef' gas BBQ for al fresco dining (please note only BBQs hired on site are permitted). The site has a range of great cooking packs for guests to purchase (to be ordered in advance). Cook a delicious fry-up with one of the breakfast packs, enjoy a tasty BBQ with the locally sourced BBQ pack, or even get the kids stuck in making s'mores around the fire pit! With York just 25 minutes away and the pretty market town of Malton a 20 minute drive, guests can spend days exploring the beauty of Yorkshire. Sorry, dogs are not allowed onsite.
