Lovely site

Beautiful site. We'd certainly visit again. There was a lot of noise on the Saturday night where a group were partying until 2am. This was a real shame as we were all exhausted the next day.

Burnbake campsite

Had a lovely time, campsite has plenty of space. Helpful staff and excellent facilities. variety of areas for camping. some more shaded than others. we had a lovely time and would recommend to anyone. Perfect base camp for exploring Dorset.

Beautiful site

Disappointment

Bearing in mind I booked this site months ago and had given the dimensions of my motorhome, when I arrived there, I was told they didn't have a pitch suitable for me. The guy in the office wasn't too helpful and said I can go and have a look to see if there's something that will be okay for me! I think it was too hot for him so he couldn't be bothered and wanted to stay in his cool office. When I went back to him saying none of the hard standings were suitable his reply was that there's a grass pitch with electric way down by the entrance. It couldn't have been much further away from the facilities, plus the hook up and water was in the walk/drive through so other campers would walk right in front of my door. If it wasn't for the fact that I wouldn't have gotten my money back, and I wanted a restful night before doing a charity hike the next day, I would have not stayed. Disappointed.

A must place to stay

if you love comping this is the place to go! From the moment we got there super friendly and helpful, told us about the best spots to pitch for your needs. It has everything you need from freshening up with a shower (I recommend the ones outside so much better) washing up after a tasty BBQ and just having the whole atmosphere of being away on holiday 5/5 will be coming back and telling everyone I know.

Relaxing, great site, friendly staff

I spent 2 nights at Burnbake campsite and enjoyed my stay, peaceful and relaxing, just what I needed. Clean and tidy shower facilities. Little shop is open at certain times, not a problem. Dog friendly, all campers were respectful of each other, so thank you for a very enjoyable break.

Amazing!

The new showers and loos in the fields were genius! So much cleaner and a million times better than the main block. These were disappointing and not clean. We will be back again soon!

Not relaxing at all!

I'll start with the positives - it's in a fantastic location for exploring Dorset and the Jurassic coast. Well stocked shop, and the café looked good although we didn't use it. Unfortunately, that's about it. If you're wanting a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, this is not it! Large groups of people pitched together, loud music, shouting, chanting into the early hours despite there being a 10:30 curfew for quiet. There were drunk people around our tent in the middle of the night, which didn't feel safe. Very stressful having kids unable to sleep because of so much noise and then tired and crabby the next day. All together, a very unpleasant experience. If it was a one off, I wouldn't write a negative review but three out of three nights, it was the same. Showers were very grubby as well but I overheard a member of staff saying there were over 200 pitches booked that weekend, so not really surprising. Will not be returning.

This site had lots of lovely wildlife, plenty of clean facilities and staff were very friendly.

Lovely location, well looked after, friendly and helpful staff. A great shop and cafe if needed. Showers and toilet area very clean. Just a great experience. Very peaceful campsite. Lots of walks

Super duper fabulous

A fabulous place, so much to do around the area for day trips. It was clean, tidy, with beautiful surroundings. It would be nice if the electric hook up pitches were weatherised to cope with rain, and not turn to mud. Thank you so much, will be back.

Fantastic stay at Burnbake

Loved our stay at Burnbake! Quiet and at nature, nestled under the trees. The fire was raised off the ground, which makes for a perfect camp. It was in riding distance on the bikes to Knoll beach. The staff were friendly and the facilities were clean. Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic place to stay

Lovely place and friendly staff. There was a great atmosphere too. Sadly, we had to admit defeat and go home early as we had torrential rain and our tent was leaking in 6 different places. Look forward to returning with a new tent! Marion.

Excellent, all boxes ticked

Have visited this place over the past 30 years, things don't change much, and hope it doesn't. Safe place for children, everyone looks out for others. We remember this place when it was wilder, before iPads and iPhones. Thank you. Will be visiting again very soon.

Lovely campsite!

Stayed with friends and it was perfect! Kids had an absolute blast being outside in the country side!
