Situated in the South Downs and 25 minutes to Brighton, The Macs Farm is a fourth generation, family run organic egg farm. Nestled in the village of Ditchling in East Sussex, they welcome campers each summer and host family friendly events throughout the year. There are four grass fields to choose from, dogs are welcome, and the site features an onsite bar and eatery, with additional street food trucks available on selected dates.

About the site
Family friendly camping at its finest, this site is set on a working farm with lots to do onsite and a great location for days out, including the South Down's National Park and Brighton. Open during the summer only, this site offers weekend camping and midweek camping during school holidays. There are four camping fields to choose from and each pitch caters for up to six people. Barn Owl Field has 30 pitches and is at the top of the farm. It is perfect for families with mown pitches surrounded by wild grass and flowers, giving plenty of space and privacy and keeping wildlife safe. Pitches have shared facilities nearby, individual fire pits and use of the Pole Barn, shared with Tawny Owl Field. Tawny Owl Field is made up of 40 pitches and is surrounded by long grass and wildflowers - it's the best field to catch the sunset. It's great for groups of families and friends who want to get away together. Campers have access to the Pole Barn and shared facilities nearby with Barn Owl Field. Little Owl Field is a big open space surrounded by trees, it is perfect for groups of families and friends wanting to camp next to each other. There are shared facilities nearby, and campers have use of the Old Chook Shed. Fire pits are spread around the field for groups to gather around. Finally, the Nest Box Field is the closest to the hub of the campsite ,perfect for groups of families and friends wanting to be near the action! The field has its own facilities, and there are fire pits spread around the field. Guests may also hire a bell tent for their pitch to save the hassle of bringing all of the camping gear! Onsite you'll find food and drink options, a chance to meet and feed the chickens, foot golf, live music and events on selected weekends. The site is car free, so you can park up and put all your belongings in a wheelbarrow to take to your pitch. Each pitch has access to a fire pit with wood, kindling, matches and firelighters. Guests may also have a BBQ as long as it is raised from the ground or put in a fire pit. The site welcomes well behaved dogs. Due to the nearby livestock, dogs must be kept under control at all times.
The site is open for weekends only from the 15th May until the 6th September. However, during the May half term and summer holidays, the site will be open for midweek camping.

Non electric grass pitches suitable for tents only. Each pitch has its own fire pit with kindling, logs, matches and firelighters included. Shared facilities nearby with toilets, showers, a washing up area, small fridges and access to the 'Pole Barn'.

Non electric grass pitches suitable for tents only. Each pitch has a communal fire pit. Guests have access to the 'Pole Barn' and shared facilities with toilets, showers, a washing up area and a small fridge.

Non electric grass pitches suitable for tents, and small campervans, by prior arrangement. Shared shower, toilet and fridge facilities nearby and use of the 'Old Chook Shed'. There are also communal fire pits dotted around the field.

Non electric grass pitches suitable for tents only, close to the hub of the farm. Fire pits are dotted around the field and guests are nearby the 'Nest box'. The field has it's own toilets, showers, washing up sinks and a small fridge to use.

Site rules and policies
*Check in for camping is at 12pm, and check out is at 11am.
*No music of any kind is permitted in any of the camping fields at any time. Silent discos are not permitted.
*A site-wide quiet time is in place from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Please respect other guests and keep noise to a minimum during these hours.
*Children aged 16 and under must be back at their pitch before dark.
*Guests all have access to either an individual or a communal fire pit. BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised or in a fire pit.
*Two well behaved dogs per pitch are welcome, but must be kept on leads at all times and cleaned up after.
