The site is situated on a working farm with friendly animals and a handy farm shop to stop off at! Explore Oldham, just 20 minutes away. Dogs are welcome too.

About the site

A peaceful, family friendly site on the edge of the Peak District National Park, offering scenic views of the Pennines and a relaxing countryside stay. Discover nearby woodland walks, hiking and cycling routes, including the Saddleworth Moors just ten minutes away, and spot friendly farm animals onsite. This spacious site provides a mix of 20 non electric and 20 electric grass pitches for tents, roof and trailer tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes, along with five electric hardstanding pitches ideal for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Electric hook ups are 16 amps. Pick up local meats, vegetables and produce at the handy onsite farm shop, or enjoy a bite and a pint at The Royal George, just a five minute walk away. It's an ideal base for exploring the rest of the Peak District (10 minutes), Oldham (20 minutes), and Manchester, with the city centre only 40 minutes away. Dogs are welcome too, but must be kept on a short lead or tether. Sorry, open fires are prohibited on this site.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

The site is very well kept and maintained, with far reaching views to Pots and Pans Hill and monument. We were given the choice of a pitch either in the main site or at the adult only area on the opposite side of the road. We chose the main site to be able to enjoy the views! The staff were really friendly and welcoming and made pitching easy. There are great showers with a toilet in the same cubicle and where hot and clean. We had dinner at The Royal George pub which is within easy walking distance from the site. It had a great menu and is dog friendly, which was an added bonus. Highly recommend this friendly site for anyone who wants to explore the area.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We had an amazing pitch with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, slight inconvenience with another guest pitch however the owners were lovely and very kindly gave us extended checkout for the hassle. Facilities were the cleanest we have ever seen and were very accessible. Large pitches for caravans and tents available. Loads of walks to be able to do around due to the peaks being so close. Plenty of farm shops around and supermarkets are within short distance. Would love to of stayed longer and will be back again for a longer visit.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Lovely simple place to stay, not far from Oldham. Lovely walk along the canal to Uppermill village for coffee, cake, little shops and restaurants. Good place for cyclist who want to ride hard hills!! Route is good for cyclists with good option of different routes.

Yes, dogs are more than welcome onsite with up to two permitted per pitch, free of charge! Sorry, breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and not left unattended.
Sorry, open fires are not permitted. However, charcoal and gas BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised from the ground. Wood, briquettes, or BBQ buckets are not permitted.

Explore the village of Greenfield, just five minutes from the site, where you'll find acres of greenery and scenic countryside walks around Dovestone Reservoir. Just ten minutes away is the iconic Peak District National Park with hiking and cycling trails for all abilities, wildlife, picturesque villages, museums and stunning views.

Oldham is a 20 minute drive, with plenty of eateries, shops, Alexandra Park, and an Odeon cinema. Also, 20 minutes away is Portland Basin Museum, home to fascinating exhibitions on the area's industrial past.

For a relaxed day in nature, Tandle Hill Country Park is 25 minutes away with woodlands, open grasslands and panoramic views of the Pennines. Etherow Country Park, a 30 minute drive, offers a peaceful nature reserve, sailing, and a cafe to unwind at.

If you're up for a city adventure, Manchester city centre is 40 minutes away. Head over to the interactive Museum of Science and Industry, explore the People's History Museum, Manchester Museum or visit Old Trafford.
