A note from the site themselves...

It has always been our dream to run a campsite! Annette did a fantastic job of running the site and since we started working with her in 2015, we have loved every minute of it. When she decided to start her well-earned retirement in November 2022, we knew this was the opportunity we had been waiting for!

We put all we had into our application, and in January 2023, when we found out we got it, we were thrilled! We set to work straight away and worked hard to make all the improvements we wanted before the season started in March. We proudly opened Moss Howe Farm Campsite late one night in March and haven't looked back since.

We already can't wait to meet you and promise that no matter what the future holds, we will get stuck in and provide you with the warmest welcome!

Small Tent - Small Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Lovely short stay with staff being incredibly helpful, especially the young man at reception. Place was very clean and well looked after, bathrooms were always spotless with plenty of hot running water. Only downside unfortunately is the other people staying at the campsite. However, staff were quick to tell people to be more quiet and turn music down. Overall, lovely experience.

Fantastic campsite

Small Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Can't recommend this highly enough! Will was lovely and helpful, talked us through everything on site and even gave us a few recommendations for things to do in the local area. Campsite itself is beautiful and very well located for access to Coniston Lake and Windermere. Added bonus of fresh croissants and pain au chocolates available first thing in the morning, need to pre book these the night before. Shop on site closes at 6:30pm so make sure to arrive before then to got the order in. Toilets/showers newly refurbished and kept clean by the staff, just an overall great campsite. We will definitely be returning!
