About the site

This adult only, dog friendly, family-run touring park provides a peaceful base next to the Lancaster Canal, great for wildlife spotting. The site is under five minutes from the M6 junction 36, perfect for a North-South stopover or exploring the Lake District (10 minutes) and Yorkshire Dales (15 minutes). All motorhome, caravan, campervan and roof tent pitches are flat and set on hardstanding on local limestone, with 16 amp electric hook up adjacent to them and reliable, strong free WiFi included. All pitches allow up to five guests and also have a tap very close to them. When you arrive onsite, you can stretch your legs with a gentle walk down by the canal, where you will often see swans and canoeists passing by. The Crooklands Hotel pub is also within a two minute stroll, where you can enjoy a tasty dinner or a cold pint, with booking recommended. The site does not accept guests under the age of 16. If holidaying in your tent, head to the neighbouring Little Acre Campsite! Dogs are more than welcome to join you for your stay, too, with up to five four-legged friends permitted per pitch.
