About the site

A relaxing base for exploring Glasgow, this peaceful glamping site is surrounded by charming woodland making it an ideal spot for a morning stroll. Within easy reach of the M80, you will also be able to get to the centre of Edinburgh within an hour's drive! Ideal for families, the site offers five camping pods that can each sleep up to five guests. Inside you will find seating that converts into a large bed for four, along with an additional small bed for one. For couples, there is also a deluxe glamping pod for two, equipped with a large double bed, bedding, USB sockets and a 32-inch TV for nights in. The three camping huts also accommodate up to two guests with a double bed and bedding too. If looking for something unique, the bespoke painted Glampervan offers guests a stay in a converted bus. Inside you will find two large three-person beds sleeping up to six, along with a spacious outdoor decking for al fresco dining. All of the glamping units include heating to keep you cosy even in the winter months, along with a TV, lighting, electric, a kettle and a mini fridge. For evenings in the open, you will also have your own picnic bench and fire pit with a grill. Disposal BBQs are also available to purchase onsite. Please note, bedding is not provided for the glamping pods or the glamping bus so guests will need to bring this with them. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to two dogs per unit in the camping pods, dog friendly camping huts and the Glampervan. There's plenty of space here, so groups and stag and hen parties can even be accommodated if taking out the full of Eden for exclusive use. Groups of ten plus would be required to take out the whole site.

A note from the site themselves...

Eden Leisure Village emerged from a simple plot of land overlooking the serene Summerhill fields. Guided by the vision of Des, affectionately known as Eden's 'Irish man' and its founder, this space was transformed into a haven of luxury glamping. The goal? To offer guests a chance to unwind amidst the peaceful countryside surroundings.

Driven by the growing desire for weddings infused with a relaxed atmosphere, our glamping site evolved into a charming rustic wedding venue. At Eden, we are dedicated to providing each couple with a truly unique and personal experience. An Eden Wedding is not just a ceremony, it's a magical 'wedding in the woods,' marking the beginning of a blissful lifelong journey together.

Des and his wife Janet, alongside our dedicated staff, operate as a cohesive team. Together, we are committed to ensuring that everyone who steps onto our grounds enjoys a tranquil retreat, complete with top-notch facilities and a warm, welcoming ambience. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you soon!

Glamping - The GlampervanApr 2025

Where to start? This glamping site as a whole was fantastic. The showers and toilets were super clean, I could literally smell cleaning products when I first walked in, which is a good sign. There's a communal kitchen which has everything you could need to cook your meal for your family complete with washing area, clean dish towels, plenty of dish soap, and a seating area to fit a big family if you needed to. The area was safe and nicely lit without being too bright for sleeping. We loved that the area nearby was still quite wild for birds and other creatures to live, though perhaps the area would benefit from a wild flower area to encourage pollinators? There's plenty of opportunity as a business to provide eco friendly toys and activities that would definitely sell to visiting families. We usually take the opportunity to craft, do some art, or teach the children about activities you can do with the natural environment on these kinds of holidays (i would be happy to make some recommendations, the more people that take joy from the environment the better in my opinion). We stayed in the Glampervan, purely for the novelty because my neurodiverse son has an obsession with buses, trains, and planes recently, so he thoroughly enjoyed his sleepover in a big bus. The bus was great, it had a seating outside and inside, a BBQ, easy to move the seating into beds, a fridge, a kettle, and multiple power sources we mostly needed for charging our phones overnight. All the windows had working blinds, and the hosts were thoughtful enough to leave a squeegee to wipe down the windows in the morning (single glazing), which soon cleared with the sunshine anyway. We were only visiting for one night but we are already discussing a return trip at some point for a longer period of time. Thank you again.

There's plenty to do without even leaving the site. If you fancy pure relaxation, settle down here by your campfire, stroll the Scottish countryside and bring a good book with you. It's bliss.

You can try your hand with an archery bow and test out your strength (for everyone over 10 years old). Groups can try Highland Games, nerf wars, combat archery, bubble football (a.k.a. zorb football). All activities must be pre-booked to make sure there are enough staff to cover this and/or so that the outside activity company can make sure there is availability.

For days out, central Glasgow is less than a half hour away and the city is brimming with things to do. From a historic cathedral to an incredible planetarium and sweeping country parks, you're sure to be entertained.
