About the site
This small, select campsite just for adults (18+) covers over 10 acres, incorporating a four-acre dog walk/exercise field with stunning views and spectacular sunsets. Longnor Wood is located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, an AONB, with unspoilt, dramatic rolling countryside and charming villages. Ideal for visiting Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock or exploring the stately homes of Haddon Hall or the Chatsworth Estate. The Peak District campsite is in open countryside in a quiet, secluded position, hidden from any road or light. Amazing dark skies and sunsets. The only sounds you may hear are the birds in the woodland adjacent to the site or one of the many bushes around the park. And with a no noise policy after 10.30pm it truly is a tranquil park. To make the most of your time at Longnor Wood you will need a car as public transport options are limited. The small village of Longnor is around 2 miles away where there is a shop, pub and fish and chip shop. There are a range of great pubs within a short drive serving home-cooked food and real ales. Buxton and Bakewell are both around 20 minutes by car. For campers and tourers, the hard-standing pitches all have electric hook up and there are some serviced touring pitches. The camping and touring area is open yet sheltered by mature trees and conveniently close to the 5-star amenities. Fire pits and BBQs available for hire. Small number of seasonal pitches available. Motorhome service point. The luxury amenities have free no-push hot water showers, large accessible bathroom with bath, large laundry, under-cover dishwashing and a heated indoor campers' kitchen with 24-7 vending machines, kettle, toaster, microwave and freezer. Information room and small, licensed shop selling local produce and real ales. Free WiFI and EV charging. Small gym and games room with pool table. Sauna available for exclusive use. Pizzas and breakfast rolls available weekends. Longnor Wood is dog friendly and welcomes up to 2 well behaved dogs per tent and touring pitch free of charge. Large dog walk and secure exercise field with great views. Hot water dog wash. Dog friendly lodge, glamping and caravan accommodation also available with doggy welcome packs. Two fully equipped, heated en-suite glamping pods are available for those that prefer their camping with more luxury. These pods have everything you need including double bed, made up with fresh linen, small en-suite shower room, kitchenette and furnished veranda. One of the glamping pods is dog friendly. Longnor Wood has 6 caravan holiday homes with hot tub configured exclusively for 2 adults to provide spacious living areas and a range of 4 types of 1 and 2-bedroom hot tub lodges. Dog friendly hot tub accommodation available with secure verandas. The caravans and lodges are fully equipped with everything you need for a romantic break or active holiday in the Peak District. Longnor Wood Holiday Park is open between start February and start January each year. Open Christmas and New Year.

Great camp and helpful staff. Clean and well run place. You will need a vehicle to get to the local villages or towns if you have walking issues, as the roads are without pavements and in some cases quite steep. Nice place to stay for adult only stays.

Site located in a beautiful setting , very quiet ..the only thing i would say the last 5 miles to the site from bakewell to the site which is 1 mile the other side of Longnor village is very narrow . Not for the novice . Great site if you like quiet

Arrived late, but we phoned the site and they told us how to check in. Site was amazing, it's lovely and clean, and the staff are very friendly and happy to help. Definitely coming again.
