Perched on the outskirts of Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, Sweet Knowle is a peaceful adult-only touring site that welcomes dogs. Allowing only five units onsite at a time, guests are guaranteed a tranquil stay with plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities. On the edge of Cotswolds AONB, this site is a perfect base for visiting National Trust properties, picturesque local villages and even Shakespeare's birthplace.

About the site

If you're looking for a quiet, no-fuss touring site that welcomes dogs, this peaceful nature oasis could be the one for you. Set on an arable working farm, the site allows only five units onsite at once, ensuring uninterrupted views of the surrounding lakes and maximum privacy. Guests can choose between non-electric grass pitches or non-electric hardstanding pitches, suitable for campervans and motorhomes only. Please note that the grass pitches may not be level in some places so bringing levelling blocks is advised. As a Campervan and Motorhome Club site, only members are permitted to book these pitches. The farm is a haven for wildlife, so expect to spot ducks, swans, geese, moorhens, coots and herons, as well as birds like buzzards, red kites and reed warblers. There are also deer, hares and foxes in the area, so don't forget to bring your binoculars! Dogs are very welcome here. Not only are there dog walks leading directly from the site, but also plenty of dog friendly pubs nearby serving great food, such as The Bell at Alderminster, The Howard Arms at Ilimington and The White Hart at Newbold (all less than ten minutes' drive). The Cotswolds AONB is less than half an hour away and Statford-Upon-Avon, home to the birthplace of Shakespeare, is ten minutes away. Campfires are permitted but must be raised from the ground.
