About the site


Enjoy a countryside escape amongst 25 acres of rewilded wildflower meadows and ancient woodlands, stay just outside of Gweek and at the head of the Helford River with easy access to the Lizard peninsular and Helston. This family run eco glamping site offers families the chance to switch off and reconnect with nature as well as explore all that Cornwall has to offer with sandy beaches and historic harbours within easy reach. There are six bell tents onsite, two set on private deckings with their own kitchen/dining area equipped with a two ring gas cooker, crockery, kettle, BBQ/fire pit and hammock. There are a further four bell tents set on the ground that have their own covered food prep areas, gas burner, BBQ and crockery. Each bell tent has a king sized bed with Woolroom bedding for ultimate comfort, and if needed two singles can be added for children at an extra cost. Bath towels are also provided. You'll also have a cool box with ice blocks that are replaced each morning. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape to the countryside or a quiet base for your family holiday this caters for both! There are also three Wilderness huts onsite, these are set facing the sunset so that you can enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple as you watch the sunset go down. Inside each is a raised king-sized bed set over a cushioned seating area, and a raised single bed that can be accessed via a ladder. Bedding and towels are provided. Inside there is a wood burning stove, a kettle, stove top, pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, and a cool box so you can self-cater if you wish. Outside you'll find fold away chairs, a small BBQ and utensils. There is solar-paneled lighting but you may still want to bring a torch! Ninho shepherd's hut offers space to sleep up to four with a mezzanine king-sized bed, a mezzanine single bed and a double converted dining bench. Inside there is a wood burner, a small kitchen with an induction hob, sink, utensils and crockery. Outside you'll have your own fire pit and seating for soaking in the summer evenings. Next door are private shower and toilet facilities. Bedding and towels are provided. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside, take the public footpaths through the woodlands and wildflower meadows or head to the nearby waterfall! Porthleven is a pretty fishing town with a harbour where you can sit and watch the boats moor up whilst enjoying a coffee or ice cream, only 20 minutes away! Spend nights around the communal fire pit, wood is provided and has been foraged for onsite, and charcoal for BBQs can be bought from the site. Or, the bell tents on grass have a BBQ outside and those on the decking have a fire pit for nights in the open. You can also order locally produced eggs and bacon for tomorrow's breakfast! Sorry, the bell tents and wilderness huts are not pet friendly. Ninho shepherd's hut is dog friendly.

There are three flushing toilets and three hot showers for guests to use. There is also a communal kitchen area for washing up and timber for those with fire pits. The Ninho shepherd's hut has private shower and toilet facilities just outside.

The site encourages a digital free environment so there is no electricity onsite, if you do need to charge your phone or another device this must be done in your car.

For meals out, there are a few pubs within a ten minute drive, The Black Swan in Gweek is a traditional pub with a beer garden and cosy interior, there is a slight hill on the way back. Also in Gweek is a village store stocking all of your essentials, or head to Halzephron for good food and incredible views over Gunwalloe.

Chic shepherd's hut with a mezzaning king-sized bed and single bed, plus a convertible dining bench. Small kitchen area with an induction hob, sink, utensils and crockery. Bedding and towels included. Private shower and toilet facilities. Dog friendly.

Yes, please let the site know in advance if you wish to use the electric vehicle charger during your stay. The charger is 11kWh at the rate of 50p kWh between 5:30am and 11:30pm and 20p kWh between 11:30pm and 5:30am. The charger is subject to availability.

Enjoy the peaceful location of the site and wander through the woodland glades or wildflower meadows, or find a spot to sit and read your favourite book ideal for those wanting to switch off and unwind.

Porthleven (20 minutes) is a beautiful fishing port and is actually the most southerly port in Great Britain! Enjoy fine dining at one of the celebrity chef owned restaurants or simply people watch as you sit by the harbour.

Pack the bucket and spade and head to the coast just 20 minutes in the car, with Looe Bar and Bar Beach both within easy reach you can spend your days soaking in the sunshine, learning to surf or building sandcastles!
