About the site

Situated just ten minutes from picturesque Cornish beaches and the South West Coast Path, this family-friendly glamping site is your ideal base for exploring Cornwall. Just a ten minute walk into the charming village of Chacewater has a local bakery, village shop, fish and chip shop and pub, you'll have everything you need within easy reach. All the big supermarkets and garage are just a short 5-10 min drive. The smaller, but still spacious, Lotus Baby Belle (5m) sleeps up to two guests in a double bed, nestled in its own private field. The larger Lotus bell tent, Busy Belle (6m), is even more spacious, so great for families and can sleep up to four in a king size bed and a sofa bed that converts into two singles. Both of the bell tents come fully furnished with luxury hotel finishes. You will have an electric hook up with sockets, a kettle, cafetiere, along with a mini fridge with an ice compartment, great for a refreshing drink after a long day out. Outside of the tents, you will find a food preparation area, along with a washing up sink and a picnic bench for al fresco dining. For cooking up dinner or your morning's full English, you will also have a two-burner camping GAZ stove with a grill and kettle, a BBQ/ fire pit, crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, along with a few essentials, tea, coffee, salt, pepper etc. For something quirky, the site also has a modern Airstream available which can accommodate up to two guests with a queen size bed or two singles. Inside you will find a fully equipped kitchen with an electric kettle, cafetiere, oven, gas burner hob, sink, under-counter fridge/freezer, crockery, utensils, seasonings and spices. You will also have the luxury of your own en-suite with a toilet and shower, along with a hairdryer, loo roll and cleaning products. Playing cards and books are provided for your entertainment, along with an outdoor picnic table and fire pit/BBQ. All of the units will also be provided with sun loungers, perfect for making the most of warm summer days. Sit back and unwind as your soak in the glorious views over the neighbouring countryside and the unique Wheal Busy tin mine chimneys. Four-legged friends are also welcome to join you for your stay so don't forget to pack some dog treats!

The site is open 22nd May until 31st May, 27th June, all weekends in July and then 24th July until 31st August.

Each glamping unit comes with a BBQ/fire, picnic table, chairs and sun loungers. Shared facilities include the gypsy shower shack with hot water and the gypsy loo shack with a flushable toilet.

Chacewater village is a ten minute walk along a country lane where you will find a bakery, fish and chip shop, local village shop and The Kings Head pub.

We do usually have firewood on site, but it has been used up already. It maybe says more about this year's summer than anything else! Firewood is available in the nearby garage and village shop, so not too far to go to find some.

We had a wonderful week with our two boys aged 13 and 15 in the 4-person Bell tent. It is a quiet and beautiful location, where you should enjoy yourself. And that means you can go your own way! Have a BBQ over your own campfire in the evening and explore the beautiful beaches and nice places in the immediate area during the day. Absolutely great! Translated from Dutch.

Lovely place to relax and chill out when able to find the place along very uneven tracks! Quiet and peaceful.

One of the tracks in is a bit bumpy this year due to all the winter rain. It is owned by Highways and as they are pretty useless, we will be filling in the bumps ourselves, so hopefully this won't be an issue going forward! Its worth the effort to get to the lovely peace of the tent.

A note from the site themselves...

We loved this land so much we had to buy it! We love living here, but also knew it would make a beautiful low impact 'Glamping Site', where guests could feel they are in the middle of nowhere, but in fact have everything they could possible need within a short walk or drive. What sets it apart from many sites is the space between the pitches, the elevation and south facing aspect plus the incredible scenic tin mine views. We pride ourselves on a Glamping experience, where guests can truly relax and connect to nature. We have over 3 acres of natural meadows, with indigenous grasses and wildflowers. You will also share the space with birds, bees, butterflies, foxes, rabbits and even the occasional deer. You can truly unwind in this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Just ten minutes from the stunning Cornish Coast, a day out at the beach is a must. Perranporth Beach is just a 15 minute drive away with a wonderful golden sand shoreline, it is great for swimming or trying your hand at surfing or paddleboarding.

Chapel Porth Beach and Porthtowan Beach are also just a 15 minute drive away, known for their glorious clear waters and for being popular with bodyboarders. From any of the beaches, you can also pick up the trail of the South West Coast Path, perfect for keen walkers.

A 30 minute drive will also take you to the picturesque seaside town of St Ives. Known for its great shopping opportunities and wonderful cobbled streets lined with boutiques and coffee shops, it makes for the perfect day out. Head to the amazing Tate St Ives to see beautiful artwork or sit by the harbour and enjoy some fish and chips as you watch the boats come in.
