Hemsford Yurt Camp is close to Totnes, in a rural valley near the South Devon coast. You'll be in easy striking distance of Torquay, Paignton and the whole English Riviera from these family friendly Mongolian yurts and a vintage shepherd's hut. Each is fully equipped for a self catering holiday with a difference. It's a short drive from some of the fabulous clean beaches along the South Devon coastline, too.
About the site
This glamping site and camp site for tents is located in a beautiful part of South Devon, only a 3 mile drive from the nearest town of Totnes or a leisurely stroll to one of the fabulous country pubs in the nearest village at Littlehempston. Take in the wonderful clear dark skies and a wealth of flowers and butterflies as you sit and watch in an unspoiled location. You're just 6 miles from Dartmoor, and 5 miles from the town of Torquay. The camp is small and can be hired for exclusive use for family parties and get togethers, or just for a lovely family or couple's break. Each of the yurts can sleep from 2-6 people, and the shepherd's hut can sleep up to four people. The yurts have full sized beds and are comfortably furnished with wood burning stoves. With outside seating areas, fire pits and views over the meadow and lake, this is the place to relax and unwind. Tents can be accepted at £12 per person per night.
The shepherd's hut is available all year round, while yurts are available from Easter to the end of September.

An authentic Mongolian yurt which can sleep up to six people in a king size, double and two single beds.

An authentic Mongolian yurt, sleeping up to two people with a double bed.
Shepherd's Hut
Max 4 people
Vintage shepherd's hut, quirky accommodation with wood burning stove and a sheep theme. It sleeps up to three adults and a child in two bunk beds.

Site rules and policies
We cannot accept dogs due to the proximity of livestock.
We do not accept large single sex groups (hens and stags) out of respect for the quiet nature of our location.
