About the site

A rustic, welcoming working farm site in West Sussex set amongst 70 acres of wild-flower meadows. Surrounded by woodland, there's plenty to play and explore. With abundant wildlife, footpaths, and country pubs nearby, there's no better place to unwind. The adult only camping site sits on eight acres, suitable for tents and touring. You are free to choose where suits you best and enjoy all the space. Shared facilities are nearby. Please note that we do not supply toilet paper, so please remember to bring your own. As for glamping, this sits in a separate field where there are four beautifully furnished large Emperor Star bell tents to choose from. Each has a theme from the meadow flowers, Meadowsweet, Speedwell, Foxglove (pa and Celandine. All are complete with luxury king size air mattresses, and have their own private shower rooms together with the use of the share covered outdoor kitchen with their own fridge, range cooker, bbq, sink and pizza oven. All the equipment you need is supplied - just bring your towels. Stitchwort shepherd's hut offers a double bed, plus luxury linen and throws. Just next door you will find your own private shower room and kitchenette with fridge, gas burner and kettle for making a morning brew. There is an outdoor seating area and fire pit too. For those looking for even more luxury, the Sunrise shepherd's hut includes a hotel-style interior with a king size bed and Egyptian cotton bedding. The Sunset cabin shepherd's hut is even larger, with a small sofa bed in the lounge, plus a separate king size bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Both of these huts include a kitchen, TV, coffee machine, central heating, seating area and a modern ensuite bathroom. Outside you will find a private decking with a seating area, recliners, a fire pit and a roll top bath for soaking under the stars! Explore the South Downs National Park 20 minutes away or local villages such as Petworth before heading back to toast those marshmallows. Don't forget to look up at the stars on a clear night! Dogs are welcome in the camping field only. Dogs are not permitted in the glamping units.

A note from the site themselves...

Cattlestone is a fourth generation farm. Since taking on the reins in 2022, the aim has been to regenerate and diversify without spoiling the natural beauty of the farm and its resident wildlife. Alan and Donna have introduced a herd of highland cows, pigs and pygmy goats who are all very friendly and love nothing better than a good fuss and the odd apple or pear.

It is a great place to immerse yourself in the peace and tranquillity of the countryside, yet is within easy access to beautiful local towns and villages and plenty of attractions. You can be assured of a very warm welcome here, Donna

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Tourer PitchesAug 2025

Great little site, loved the pigs and highland cattle. Facilities basic but did the job. Lots of like minded campers, mostly considerate regarding noise. Minor quibble, nobody came to let us know the gate access codes or confirm our booking. Luckily, a fellow camper had the info.

Peaceful lovely site

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Tourer PitchesAug 2025

Lovely site in a peaceful rural location. Facilities are clean and modern, plentiful hot water in showers. The site also has an Elsan disposal point which was a bonus for us as listing says not available. Lovely walks from the site so we didn't need to drive anywhere. Our dog loved playing with Rip the gorgeous resident Border Terrier. Thank you Donna for a lovely time we will come and stay again soon

Medium sized site just for adults.

The site was quiet after everyone left there was basic toilets and showers the only thing that needs improving is a better sign at the entrance maybe a bit larger and maybe a light over it for dark nights.
