A ten minute walk from Tunstall Beach lies Sand le Mere Holiday Park, also just ten minutes from Withernsea. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool and splash zone, an arcade, play park, fishing lake and craft room. There is also a restaurant and show bar with regular live entertainment. Choose from grass and hardstanding touring pitches, some with private bathrooms, or camping pods.

About the site

Located on the East Yorkshire coast, this holiday park has an indoor swimming pool with splash zone, fishing, an arcade and craft activities. Caravans, campervans and motorhomes have a range of pitches to choose from. There are 6m x 6m regular hardstanding pitches with 10 amp electric hook ups, larger 6m x 9m electric grass pitches, or 6m x 9m premium hardstanding pitches with 16 amp electric and water hook ups. The site also offers private ensuite pitches that include your own toilet and shower hut. These pitches measure 9m x 6m and also include a 16 amp hook up. If glamping is more your style, opt for one of the four-person camping pods. Inside you will find a double bed and bunk bed, with the option to hire bedding at an extra cost. Electric, USB sockets, a small dining table, heating and lighting can also be found inside. Shared toilet, shower and washing up facilities are a short walk away. Evenings can be spent cooking up a BBQ, just please ensure they are raised from the ground. Alternatively, visit the onsite restaurant, with a bar and regular live entertainment too. Dogs can join you for your stay, with up to two pups allowed per pitch or pod.

Facilities include basic toilets, showers and washing up areas. There is also a laundry room and EV charging available. The onsite shop offers food and essentials, plus a mascot shop, play park, sensory room and soft play area for little ones.

There is an indoor swimming pool with a splash zone and slide for kids, along with a separate pool for lengths. A sauna and steam room can be found here too.

In the clubhouse, you will find a restaurant/bar with indoor and outdoor seating, plus free WiFi, Sky TV, BT sports and a pool table. Live entertainment is regularly held in the show bar. For an extra cost, there is bingo, a fishing lake, Segway hire, a climbing wall, and a craft room with craft pottery and teddy bear making.

Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly)Aug 2025

The campsite was beautiful, just a shame it wasn't kept tidy. Restaurant tables where not cleaned, just left for guests to clear to be able to sit down. A lot of rubbish laying around. The entertainment for the older generation wasn't very appealing so didn't get full use of facilities

Stayed in the Pods at Sand le Mere. Site offers the normal facilities you would expect at a Holiday Park. Our young child loved it, bit of a change living in a pod and sleeping in the top bunk. Would recommend for a short stay. Within easy reach of Withernsea and Hornsea. Pods would benefit from a small fridge and kettle.
