A note from the site themselves...

My father in-law had the vision in 1984, having many years prior to this turned a derelict house into the family home where my husband grew up.

He wanted others to be able to enjoy the beautiful setting, peace and quiet this site holds. He started out with just five grass pitches but soon expanded to ten hardstandings with electric. I took over in 2020, after spending 35 years working in education with emotionally and behaviourally disadvantaged teenage boys! This was a complete career change!

I manage the site on my own, but seeing the pleasure people get from staying with us and the Forest of Dean makes it all worthwhile.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesNov 2023

We try and get away in our Motorhome every month and the Forest of Dean was the ideal distance for a November stay. The first 3 days was beautiful but then heavy rain followed. The grassed areas were very soggy but the hard standing pitches drained very well. The location is brilliant for dog walking in every direction. Bev, our host is brilliant, a mine of information and so helpful. The facilities are very clean and due to be refurbed in the new year. We will return in the spring or summer. A lovely, well kept, 10 pitch, adult only site.

Site's response

Thank you so much for your review, Ian. You did have mixed weather whilst here but I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay with me. 'Cats out the bag' about my refurb on the toilet and showers. 😃 Fingers crossed it all comes together as I'm in the final part of confirming with the work men. I should have new toilets etc for early 2024. I would love to see you both again. Take care, Bev.

Lovely site with a lovely owner

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesMay 2023

We arrived just before dark in the pouring rain, but Bev insisted on coming out to check we were ok. She gives confidence that nothing would be too much trouble for her if you needed anything. The site is really well kept, clean and tidy and very peaceful. There are only 10 pitches and each plot has plenty of space. Forest walks begin right at the gate to the property, ideal for dog walking with well kept quiet tracks. Would love to come again.

Site's response

Very good
