Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

A lovely quick 1 overnight stay! First time taking my little one camping and we needed somewhere close by to home (only an hour away) just in case she didn't like it or I was struggling. Check in was so smooth and explained really well as to where our camp spot was and all the amenities. Given a map and menu for the café. We were put right next the park which was great we ended up meeting so many other children and families throughout the day. Toilets and showers were very clean, the block up near to Reception have full shower cubicles with toilets and one even had a bath. The ones near to us were also clean and kept nice but they were more wet rooms. We didn't actually use the shower anyway as only there for a really short time. The pool was included in the price of your stay which I found great, it was kept clean and though classed as "heated" it wasn't freezing but still coldish. Due to the hot weather, it was a nice temp though we were lucky for some sunshine even though it had forecast rain. You get 1 hour time slots running up until I believe 6:30pm? Only thing I will say is the café could use a bit of an upgrade foodwise, the staff were lovely though cant fault them but the food was just ok, chips a little undercooked and very chewy meat in the burger I had. We also realised on my daughter's burger bun it had a spec of mould on right at the end. But she had already eaten most of it by this point and we left that bit. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will be back!

Another fantastic stay

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2026

We came 2 years ago and just had the best time! We tried to book last year but camping wasn't an option, so we were very happy to find out that camping was back on the list this year! Play area fantastic, pool wonderful, animals, brilliant, great staff, good shop, awesome park and great facilities. Would definitely stay a third time. Only feedback is, was sad that the pizzas were not an option this year. The staff at the café were so lovely, but the menu was a shame. I would recommend offering meals that aren't easy camping options such as lasagne, curry, pizza as we had all the ingredients to make breakfasts, toasties, burgers and chicken with us. And the oven chips didn't taste good and were not cooked properly. I feel the shop also is missing a trick and could easily sell some cheap T-shirts and Crocs-type clothing as well. Great toy selection though!
