About the site

Located at Heber Farm, a working farm in the village of Buckden, is this family and dog friendly campsite in the Yorkshire Dales and makes an ideal escape for walkers, hikers, cyclists, and those who just want to explore! The campsite offers 15 spacious meadowland pitches for tents and trailer tents in a peaceful field by the River Wharfe. There's also a separate Certified Site (CS) for Camping and Caravanning Club members, with five pitches suitable for campervans and two for caravans, all with 16 amp electric hookups. For those seeking extra comfort, the site also features three insulated and furnished camping pods. The Highland and The Swaledale measure 4.8m x 3.5m, while The Galloway is slightly larger at 5.7m x 3.4m. Each pod sleeps up to five people with mattress-covered seating converted into beds. They have electricity, lighting, heating, a kettle, a small table, and an electric socket. Outside, you'll find a private decking area with seating. While you're here, take a trip to Skipton Castle (30 minutes away) and explore this historic market town with its independent shops, eateries, and traditional pubs. For a fun family day out, head to The Forbidden Corner (35 minutes), a whimsical labyrinth filled with tunnels, chambers, surprises, and follies! BBQs are welcome onsite but must be raised off the ground. Please note, open campfires are not permitted. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too, with a maximum of one per booking.
