About the site


This adult only touring park offers a peaceful base for exploring York and North Yorkshire. It is just five minutes from the A64 and around a ten minute drive from the city centre, with a handy Park and Ride a 15 minute walk away, providing regular bus services. The campsite is set within landscaped grounds with young trees and planting between the pitches. Each gravel and grass pitch measures 7m x 9m and includes 16 amp electric for campervans, caravans and motorhomes. York (10 minutes) offers plenty to do, from exploring the historic city walls and York Minster to browsing independent shops, enjoying riverside walks and discovering the city's many cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars. Attractions include the National Railway Museum, JORVIK Viking Centre and York's famous Shambles! The location also makes it easy to enjoy local amenities without always needing the car, with a Sainsbury's Local, Brew York - Handley Tap, The Derwent Arms and The Kitchen York Cafe all within a ten minute walk. For exploring further afield, the North York Moors and Castle Howard are within a 30 minute drive. Up to three dogs are welcome per pitch, great for those with four-legged companions. BBQs are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended to at all times.
