Somers Wood Caravan Park is an adult-only touring site set in mature woodlands, just ten minutes from Birmingham NEC. Trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans are welcome across a range of spacious electric and fully serviced pitches, with extra large areas for RVs. Conveniently located near the A45, the site is well connected for exploring. Next door there is also a fishery and golf courses, with access to modern onsite facilities!

About Somers Wood Caravan Park
Catering for adults only, this spacious park offers 5 star facilities within easy reach of the A45 and Birmingham. The grounds are part of the Forest of Arden, providing shade and a relaxing base for exploring! Pitches are spacious and all on hardstanding, accommodating touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents. Every pitch has a 10 amp electric hook up connection and space for an awning, allowing up to four guests each. Many also feature a grassed area alongside, with WiFi and a Digital TV reception across the park. There are 19 fully serviced pitches which include a fresh water tap and grey waste drain for your convenience. Four extra large pitches can also accommodate RVs and fifth-wheel trailers up to 12m in length. Pitches have a firm base of stone chippings, allowing awning rock pegs to be hammered in easily. The site is located just five minutes from the NEC, making it a perfect base for visiting one of the centre's 180 shows and events each year. Evenings can also be spent cooking up a tasty BBQ, as long as it is raised from the ground. Please note, campfires are prohibited. Well behaved quiet pets are very welcome, with up to three dogs allowed per pitch.

Facilities include a heated shower block with hot showers, private wash cubicles, toilets, wash basins, hair dryers and shaver points. There is a separate wheelchair accessible shower and washroom, a laundry, an undercover dishwashing area, an information and library cabin, plus WiFi.
If heading offsite, Meriden is a 25 minute walk away with The Strawberry Bank Pub, the Bulls Head Meriden Coventry, Budgens and Co-op. Next door, there is also Packington Somers Fishery, Stonebridge Golf Club and North Warwickshire Golf Club.

Was greeted upon arrival by a very friendly lady who immediately made us feel very welcome. The pitch was perfect for our 3 berth caravan and we could easily have fitted a large awning alongside, had we wanted. The toilets and shower block was immaculately clean and up to date, even boasting complimentary pictures and played our favourite radio station throughout! The grounds were perfectly kept and ease of access into and out of the site was made easy by remote code access. We chose this site because of its near location to the NEC, however we will definitely come back just to stay at this amazing site. Thankyou Somers Wood for an amazing stay, 5 stars all the way!

What a lovely place! I was attending an event at the NEC for 2 days and, as I was rather late booking, the hotels were astronomical! I thought a couple of nights away in the van would be perfect, but it meant I would be camping solo and, as I needed to look professional at the event, I decided to look for a campsite with facilities rather than a pub stopover. I had a fair drive to get there and I was worried I would be later than the last check-in time (which I was, due to an accident on the motorway) so I rang ahead and spoke with the owner. She was immediately kind and helpful. She provided all of the information I needed to access the site and ensured I knew where to find her mobile number in the event I had any difficulty. I arrived after dark so took a while to find the exact spot my pitch covered (I was tired after a long drive ;-) ) but I discovered they honoured my request to be close to the wash block. The site was quiet and I was parked under trees with a family of owls - it was so lovely. I felt safe and sheltered and very cosy! The wash block was immaculate - warm, clean, and plenty of toilets and showers. I didn't need to use the other facilities so I can't comment on them, and I arrived after dark both nights, but on leaving, it looked like a wonderful site all round with access to walks and close to Meriden, which is well served by a couple of shops (with a nice selection of wine ;-) ). Doggies welcome (although I didn't have mine on this occasion). The info sheet is helpful with numbers for local takeaways (thank you). Perfect adult only site and I will definitely be back for other NEC shows (no traffic between the site and the NEC both mornings - so a really easy spot less than 10 mins drive). Thank you for a lovely stay.

Things to do on site and in the Coventry area
Immediately adjacent to the site are Stonebridge Golf Club, with 27 holes and 21 bay floodlit driving range. For fishermen, there is also Packington Somers coarse fishing lakes with six well-stocked pools and specimen lakes. The Golf Club welcomes all guests along with their four-legged friends.
The NEC is also just ten minutes away, hosting a range of shows all year round, including caravan shows and Crufts. You can also be in Birmingham city centre within half an hour.
