From grand country homes to beautiful churches, Warwickshire has plenty to impress. Start by exploring the stunning Stoneleigh Abbey, handsome Ragley Hall or the striking Tudor house of Coughton Court. Then get a little more rural with Charlecote Park, the picturesque ruins of Kenilworth Castle with its Elizabethan garden or the Collegiate Church of St Mary's, a part of which dates back as far as the 12th century.
History lovers will enjoy a trip to Wellebourne Watermill, one of the few left in the country and then going back to the roaring 20's at Upton House, or the beautiful mansion and parkland of Compton Verney. Other notable buildings include the Royal Pumps Rooms where water reign supreme and the striking Stoneleigh Abbey.
The picturesque market town of Stratford-upon-Avon is inextricably linked with one of the world’s most famous playwrights, William Shakespeare. Fans of the Bard can visit Shakespeare's Birthplace as well as Anne Hathaway's Cottage & Gardens, the family home of Shakespeare’s wife. Other architectural attractions linked to Shakespeare include Hall’s Croft, Mary Arden’s Farm, Nash's House and the preserved foundations of New Place where Shakespeare died. There's enough to spend an entire day immersed in his incredible life.
To seee Shakespeare’s final resting place, head to Holy Trinity Church. An exploration of Stratford-upon-Avon while on the trail of the Bard would also not be complete without a visit the Royal Shakespeare Company where visitors can take in a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the Swan Theatre (which offers non-Shakespearean plays too, if you fancy a change), as well as enjoy a variety of fascinating theatre tours. Round it all off with the Theatre Tower, which provides great views of Stratford-upon-Avon.

Foodies looking for local Warwickshire produce will be licking their lips at the excellent selection of farm shops and markets as well as restaurants and cafes that are available to tuck into, while a tour of the Church End Brewery provides refreshing insight into the brewing process.
