Campsite with great beachside location, friendly staff and licensed onsite takeaway for great food and drinks. Newport is just under a five minute drive away for shopping and cafes.
Morawelon is an idyllic beachside campsite which has been run by the same family for 104 years. Some campers have been coming for 60+ years! There is a great and friendly atmosphere on site, as well as plenty to do in the local area. The site is nestled between the backdrop of Carningli and the stunning waterfront sea views of Parrog and Newport Sands. It's a great location for a seaside holiday. Your base is adjacent to Parrog beach and it's possible to wade over the estuary to Newport Sands at low tide. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is literally the border between the campsite and the sea. All camping fields have ample space, so they can cater for groups and rallies, as well as coastal walkers and families. The site is dog friendly, but dogs must be kept on a lead as there are sheep in the neighbouring fields.
Open from March to October.
Grass pitches with optional electric hook-up, for all types of camping and touring unit.

Dogs to be kept on leads at all times on site.
Camp fires must be contained in a fire pit or barbecue off the ground to prevent grass burns.
Noise must be kept to a minimum by 10:00pm.
Wash-up area to be cleaned after use.
Chemical waste must only be placed in designated chemical waste.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path borders the campsite and stretches for 186 miles from Amroth to Poppit Sands, St Dogmaels. Most of this coastline faces west and offers stunning coastal views in every direction.
From the car park adjacent to Morawelon restaurant, cafe and bar, you can take the Poppit Rocket coastal bus service which can take you north or south to your chosen section of the coastal path, giving you the freedom to explore this magnificent coastline.
When it's low tide, it's possible to wade across the estuary from Parrog to Newport Sands in a matter of minutes. Alternatively there is a public footpath along the estuary down to a bridge crossing, on a route which takes 45-60 minutes depending on your pace.
Newport town is 10 minutes walk away.
