About Owley Woods Glamping
This award-winning secluded glamping site surrounded by Somerset countryside is the ideal place to unwind. Picturesque Cheddar village with its wide selection of pubs and tearooms (and cheese!) is just a scenic 15-minute footpath walk away, and footpaths also lead to the Gorge (which is the highest in the country). Located on a one-acre paddock, the luxury lotus bell tents have everything you will need to enjoy your stay. They are fitted with king-size beds, throws, tables, chairs, and fairy lights. Outside, you'll have your own private dining area with a fire pit/BBQ and wood-burning stove. You only need to bring your clothes and provisions. Shared kitchen area with kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge freezer and mains sockets. All of the Belle tents are named after owls, as the owls are often very vocal in the evenings! Complimentary tea and coffee alongside your first basket of logs with firelighters and kindling are provided. Dogs are welcome here, and the surrounding footpaths are perfect for dog walking. There is also a dog walking paddock for those early morning and late evening short walks. Welcome packs for both guests and their dogs too! The site is also located next to Somerset Wildlife Trusts Mascalls Wood, so it is surrounded by wildlife and even has a bat roost in one barn.
Owley Woods Glamping is open from 22/03 to 26/10.
The shared bathrooms include flushing toilets, hot showers and heated radiators. An outside covered area for washing up is also provided. The kitchen area has an electric kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and mains charging facilities.
The nearby picturesque village of Cheddar provides many pubs, tea rooms, shops and restaurants. Easily accessible with a scenic footpath walk in 15 minutes or a five minute drive.

We stayed in the Tawny bell tent for 2 nights in March along with our dog (who was welcomed with a dog bed and bag of treats/goodies)!! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by our super super friendly and informative host. The grounds and tent itself were absolutely gorgeous; the little touches of fairy lights, a muddy boot box, a welcome pack of local treats and so so much more completed our stay - we felt truly welcomed & at home. With a secure dog field on site it was super handy to let the hound loose for zoomies before setting up for the evening with a campfire (wood provided). Beautiful walks surround the grounds too. We had a truly magical and relaxing stay and will definitely return!

Wonderful campsite with everything you could possibly want. The owners are so friendly and helpful and welcomed me with gift packs of local cheese. The area is stunning, with great walks and beautiful views across the Cheddar Gorge.

This is a lovely little glamping site, it was super clean and had every facility we needed. We had two dogs and the extra treats and ball were a lovely touch. Our stay was during the mini heatwave so it was hot and there is a limited amount of shade but we would love to come back and make use of log burner and blankets. Short walk into Cheddar so it was an ideal location.
