Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2025

Honestly, this site was a bit disappointing as the pitches are crammed so close to each other and over looked on every angle. The walkways are very steep and not very well lit and uneven, which can be tricky walking up the hill at night. The driving road has tight bends which is a tricky part if not experienced in driving motorhomes or caravans. Our pitch was at the very top of the site, far from all the facilities in a very packed area. The shower block nearest to us was ok. There was only two pot wash sinks for that entire area so people waiting around to use them. The path ways were quite uneven and exhausting to walk up and down. Our son was unable to walk down and back so only left our motorhome twice. It's not accessible for anyone with crutches or disability needing crutches or wheelchairs. After two days, we realised this was not suitable for us as we had dogs with us too. It's a very busy site and packed to capacity, so if you're looking for a bit of privacy or space in between pitches then this is not the place to go. There's a very small gym with hardly any equipment in it and a charge of £8 per booking. The site has a good shop which is well stocked. Couldn't get a seat in the entertainment centre, was packed. I think if anything, the site should consider making it more about quality than the quantity. The site just doesn't have the space to cram so many people in and the walkways should be made more accessible. Even the fittest members in our family and people we spoke to pitched near us had the same opinions. If you're close to the main complex, you might have a better experience as it may be more even and less crowded or exhausting hills to climb. The area was such a long walk and those steep slopes are not easy to navigate. I am sure it's great for those who enjoy such a packed space. Just not for us.

Site's response

Thank you for your honest review. We are sorry to hear that the park was not the best fit for your holiday. If you are after a quieter more woodland retreat, our sister site Castle Brake is a 10 minute drive away and they have a lovely dog friendly bistro on site. Kind regards, Charlotte and The Ladram Bay Team
