About the site
Yurtcamp Devon is the ultimate glamorous yurt holiday experience for those who seek the simplicity of living under canvas without giving up the quality and comfort of more conventional holidays. The resident goats and sheep are always a huge bonus for your little ones. Set midway between Exeter and Plymouth in the foothills of Dartmoor, close to the South Hams and the beautiful English Riviera offering Blue Flag beaches at Teignmouth and Torquay. There are many tourist attractions around from culture to history and all-important days out with the children. The glamping site has 22 contemporary yurts of two sizes set in 40 acres of beautiful Devon woodland. The smaller yurts are ideal for couples, and the larger yurts ideal for up to six, to accommodate family and friends. Larger yurts even have partitions to create separate bedrooms. All yurts are fully equipped with everything you may require for a rustic yet comfortable stay, including full size beds (king size in the large yurts and double beds in small yurts), warm duvets and pillows. Each yurt has a log burner with ample firewood and is fully equipped for cooking, sleeping and relaxing in, and has access to an outdoor fire pit, for campfires and barbecues. You're also guaranteed to find a camping gas stove with crockery and cutlery and a cool box including ice packs. There'll be tables and chairs, safe candle holders and solar lights / lanterns. Most of the site and several yurts are also wheelchair accessible. The yurts are also available for private hires for a unique wedding reception (this is a licensed venue), private parties, retreats, school trips, bush craft courses, music festivals and anything you could hope and want to create. The site is open from March until the end of October, and over the New Year.
