About the site
This peaceful and well-maintained campsite is located near Llanberis in Snowdonia, close to both Caernarfon and Bangor. The area is a breath of fresh air, with easy access to the mountains as well as the beautiful sandy beaches and rocky coves on the coast. Tents are welcome across the site's 37 grass pitches with optional electric. Whilst tourers can stay on one of the 37 electric grass pitches located across a gently sloping hill, each with a hook up of at least 16 amp. All of the pitches allow up to eight guests, with wonderful countryside views all around. Snowdonia National Park is within a ten minute drive, making this an ideal spot for keen walkers, cyclists and adventurers. You will also be in easy reach of some of the area's most popular attractions including the National Slate Museum and Caernarfon Castle. A further camping field is made available during the school holidays. Two static caravans are also available for hire, one of which is pet friendly. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, with a large field onsite for walks. Fire pits are permitted and BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised from the ground. Fire pits are available to hire on site along with logs, fire lighters and kindling.

Stayed here for the weekend with my friends and would definitely recommend! Nathan was super friendly and helpful and the site was lovely and quiet! The facilities were very clean and the showers were lovely and hot :)

We had a fantastic time at Llys Derwen! The site had everything we needed—and more! It’s beautifully maintained, well-equipped, and full of charm. A special shoutout to Nathan, who truly is the heart and soul of the place. He was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and charismatic—his energy added so much to our experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back to Wales and staying here again. This has genuinely been one of the best campsites we’ve ever visited. What a vibe! PS. Perfect for cat lovers! ALERT- The most fluffy and cute cat is walking around the campsite!

I have never had as easy an experience with this campsite. The owner, Nathan, was incredibly nice. Full of advice and directions. He was so accommodating. We arrived just after 7. We were welcomed by Nathan and handed an information sheet shortly after we settled in. After a long day driving, we were looking forward to a pint in the local pub and a hot shower. Nathan directed us to the local pub which helped considering the time of the evening. The campsite was impeccably clean and very well maintained. The showers were boiling hot and so powerful. Pity we didn't have another few days there. But will definitely return the next time we visit Snowdonia. Andy and Linda. (Dublin, Ireland)
