A note from the site themselves...

Camping has always run deep in our family. We grew up on stories about Grandad Harry setting off on epic camping adventures across Canada in the 1950s, and Great Grandad Frank loading a family of three ( plus all the gear) into a motorbike and sidecar for legendary trips to Anderby Creek.

By the early '90s, it was our turn. We'd bundle into the old Volvo, head for the Dorset coast with music on full blast, and feel that familiar rush of holiday excitement. Those memories, from one generation to the next, have shaped who we are. Camping has always been the thread that ties our family together.

So when we opened our own campsite in 2015, it felt like a natural continuation of the story. Since then, we've watched families return year after year, sometimes bringing a few extra friends along for the ride.

This place has grown into something more than a spot to pitch a tent. It's where muddy boots dry by the fire pit, where kids forget about screens and roam free, and where strangers end up sharing laughs under starry skies. We've built a campsite we truly love, and we hope it becomes a place your family loves too.

Things to do on site and in the Fordingbridge area

The whole of the New Forest is renowned for its walking and cycle trails, and the area around Frogham is no exception. Many of the tracks in this part of the forest start here and pass well-known pubs. The Harry's Field team reckons that the Royal Oak in Fritham and the High Corner Inn at Linwood (both around 15 minutes' drive) make particularly good refuelling stops.

Ready to rock those jelly shoes? Dip in the local river, or it's a doddle to get between here and the coast, with top beaches at Bournemouth (30 minutes), Mudeford (25 minutes) and Hengistbury Head (25 minutes) all within easy reach.

Other popular seaside spots include Poole Harbour (40 minutes) and Brownsea Island (40 minutes plus a short ferry ride). Head to the latter for a chance to see red squirrels in the wild!

Other local attractions/top spots include:

  • New Forest Water Park (5 minutes)
  • Moors Valley Country Park and Forest (20 minutes)
  • Paulton's Park and Peppa Pig World (25 minutes)
  • New Forest Wildlife Park (30 minutes)
  • National Trust - Mottisfont (35 minutes)
  • National Motor Museum, Beaulieu (40 minutes)
