About the site

This friendly, family run campsite is set within 35 acres, surrounded by glorious woodland walks. For days out, you will also be within a 15 minute drive of some of Devon's most popular hot spots, including Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Croyde. For tents, trailer tents and caravans there is the choice of two sized grass pitches. The large pitches are 5m x 10m, with the premium pitches being a spacious 7m x 11m. If holidaying in your motorhome, caravan or campervan, there are three sizes of gravel pitches available. Choose between small 6.5m x 6.5m pitches, large 8m x 8m pitches and premium 8m x 9m pitches. All of the pitches come with an optional 16 amp electric hook up. Each of the hook ups is metered onsite and will need to be pre-paid at check-in (any units not used will be refunded at check-out). A range of lodges are also available onsite. If holidaying with little ones, there are two play areas onsite to keep them busy. There's also plenty of woodland to explore, plus an onsite stream, perfect for a spot of dam building or a paddle. Don't forget to keep a lookout for wildlife, including otters, ducks and buzzards! Canine companions can also join you for your stay, with up to three dogs allowed per pitch. The woodland also makes the perfect spot for walks with your pup! Evenings can be spent enjoying a tipple or a bite to eat at the onsite restaurant and bar (open Easter to September, serving food Wednesday to Sunday). But, if you would prefer to cook, BBQs are welcome, just please ensure they are raised from the ground. Do note, open fires are not permitted.

Grass pitches are available April until the end of September, gravel and hardstanding pitches are available all year. Pitches from £14/night for 2 people.

Unloved and run down

Motorhome - Premium Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)Dec 2025

Could be a great site, but it is unloved, run down and we felt they were overcharging for electricity. We only saw 1 person working on our third day. No staff had been in the shower blocks which were freezing, full of leaves and the heating was switched off. Several guests said it was too cold to shower. Other guests also complained about the lack of decent lighting around the shower block and the washing up room was dark. When we complained they switched the heating on. Bridge is unsafe and has holes in it - an accident waiting to happen. Nothing a bit of attention and work can't put right. Reception said they were only working a few hours as they had family for Christmas - like guests were an inconvenience, if they didn't want to run the site at Christmas they shouldn't accept full paying guests and give them half a service. I hope they put some effort into the site or sell it to someone who does. It could be wonderful. Definitely not a 5 star site.
