Catering for families and couples, Globe Vale Holiday Park is proud to have achieved an AA 5 Pennant Platinum Award. The park is set in countryside, yet close to local amenities and beaches.

About Globe Vale Holiday Park

Paul and Louise, along with their daughters and Paul's father arrived at Globe Vale in 2002. Since then the family have all worked to develop and improve the park and its facilities. Nestled in the countryside, the site has stunning views from all the camping areas, across to St Agnes Beacon and the coast (sunsets from the Meadow area can be amazing!). There are level and fully serviced pitches with 16amp electric, own drinking water tap, and drainage on each pitch for grey water. Both hard standing and grass pitches are available (pitch sizes 7.5 metres x 7.5 metres up to 9 metres x 11.5 metres). Hard standing pitches are used year round, while grass pitches are used from March to October. Camping pitches are split into four separate areas, all pitches are grass and of a generous size (7.5 metres x 9 metres up to 10 metres x 10 metres), all with 16 amp electric. A recreation area has been recently added too - ideal for ball games - and there is plenty of open space for younger ones to practice cycling, etc. The site also offers a small hire fleet of static caravans including pet friendly ones and luxury 2 and 3 bedroom caravans that are double glazed and centrally heated, so can be used all year round - perfect for a winter visit to go storm watching!

Clean, modern shower, toilet and laundrette facilities. A bar/restaurant is open from mid May until early September with takeaways also available, while the onsite shop is open from mid July until the end of August. There is also a games room with pool table and darts board.

Unfortunately Globe Vale Holiday Park doesn't share their availability calendar with us yet. Availability changes quickly, especially in summer, so we recommend enquiring by phone to avoid missing out.

Site rules and policies

* A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost is payable at the time of booking. The balance is payable 4 weeks before arrival. Receipts will be sent by email. No refunds are given if the booking is cancelled within 7 days of arrival, or if you leave early.

* Pitches are available from 2pm and should be vacated by 10am on day of departure. Static caravans are available from 3pm and should be vacated by 10am on day of departure. Please advise if you are arriving after 6pm.

* Where a pitch has been requested, we will endeavour to allocate this pitch to you. However, we do reserve the right to change your allocation if necessary before or on your arrival.

* There is a strict 5mph speed limit throughout the park

* Dogs - dogs must be kept on a lead whilst on the park (except in the designated dog exercise area). Any mess MUST be cleaned up immediately. Dogs must not be left unattended on the park at any time

* BBQ's and Firepits - We do allow the use of BBQ's and firepits on site. They must be raised off the ground (blocks available if required). Disposable BBQ's MUST be left to cool completely before being disposed of after use.

* Commercial vehicles are not allowed on site.

* No single sex groups are permitted.

Things to do on site and in the Redruth area

Families and couples alike can enjoy a relaxing holiday here. The site is ideally based for exploring Cornwall - from the Eden Project to St Michaels Mount. The local beaches have surf hire and parking available and as being located in an old tin mining area, there is plenty of scope to explore the area's history.

Facilities on site include:

Children's play area with swings, slides, a see-saw, sand pit and climbing apparatus.
Grassed recreation area for playing ball games, etc.
An enclosed dog exercise area where they can be let off the lead.

Local beaches include:

Portreath and Porthtowan, both popular family beaches (about 10 minute's drive)
St Agnes and Perranporth, both dog friendly (about 15- 20 minute drive)
The north coast also boasts many small coves which are worth the extra walk if you want somewhere quieter.

Other nearby attractions include:

Mineral Tramway Cycle Path, which runs from Portreath to Devoran.
Wheal Peevor tin mines, just a short 5 minute walk away.
