Pods in the Sticks

Pods in the Sticks is just a 15 minute drive from Kendal, within 20 minutes of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The small glamping site is home to just two family and dog friendly pods. Each pod includes a double bed, double L-shaped sofa bed, ensuite, equipped kitchenette, TV, WiFi and underfloor heating. Outside, there is a private picnic bench and fire pit. Set on the Dales Way, it is great for keen walkers!

About the site

The small glamping site sits in a peaceful spot just 15 minutes from Kendal, with both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales less than a 20 minute drive away. Surrounded by countryside and right beside the Dales Way walking route, it's a great base for exploring. There are just two cosy glamping pods onsite. Inside, each pod has a double bed and a double L-shaped sofa bed, comfortably sleeping up to four people. Bedding and towels are provided, and you'll stay snug with underfloor heating. There's also a TV and free WiFi, so you can relax after a day outdoors. Each pod has its own well-equipped kitchenette, fitted with a microwave, air fryer, toaster, kettle, and fridge with a small freezer section. You'll also find cutlery, crockery, and cooking utensils, plus a few extras like tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits to get you started. You'll have a private ensuite bathroom too, complete with a shower, toilet, and hairdryer. A few little touches make your stay extra comfortable, including USB charging sockets and a selection of games for family fun on quiet evenings. Step outside to your private outdoor area, where you can sit at the picnic bench or toast marshmallows over the fire pit. There's also EV charging available onsite and a garden games shed to keep everyone entertained. Two dogs are welcome per pod for a small fee, so your four-legged family members can join the adventure too.

Pods in the Sticks is open from 07/11 to 22/12 and 27/12 to 29/12 in 2025 and all year round in 2026.
