About Church Stile Farm and Holiday Park
Set in an idyllic oak woodland setting on a traditional Lakeland sheep farm, enjoy the peace of this unspoilt valley and striking views of the mountains. Plus, it's only five miles from Wasdale Head, the base for climbing Scafell Pike and a mile from picturesque Wastewater. You'll find spacious pitches for tents here, along with a selection of electric hook-up pitches with excellent facilities. Electric pitches go fast, so do pre-book to avoid disappointment. There are also ten hardstanding pitches for motorhomes and campervans, with and without electric. For those looking to go hassle-free, glamping options are available too. The cosy shepherd's huts sleep two, and sleek camping pods sleep four. The site is also home to a play area with swings and a climbing frame, and a grass area for ball games to keep the kids entertained. Run out of food? There's a well-stocked farm shop onsite for everything you need in a pinch. There's also WiFi access available here, should you need it. Dogs are welcome (up to a max of two per pitch) but must be kept on a lead.
The site is open for bookings from the 27th March until the 14th October, with the exception of the Shepherd's Hut which is available from 29th March.
Site facilities for campers and glampers include a fully fitted shower block with no charge for showers, plus a disabled and family bathroom with a baby changing area. Phones can also be charged at a cost.
There is also a play area with swings and climbing frames plus a separate grassed area for ball games. There are picnic tables offered throughout the site and BBQ / fire pits available to hire, with wood available for purchase.

This was our first ever visit to Church Stile, we spent the whole time out and about exploring. The camp site offers everything you need to enjoy some much needed time away. Hot showers, toilets, washing facilities for dirty laundry. We even rented a fire pit for roasting marshmallows! There is a hive of activity during the day, but at night it all dulls down so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the Lake District. We'll be back!

The best campsite I have stayed at by far. Very friendly staff, shop has everything you may need and is well stocked. Location is absolutely amazing, nice walks around. Campsite layout allows privacy and good distance from each other. Facilities nice and clean. I would definitely come back, no doubt

This campsite is perfect for any level of camper/adventurer. I visited the Lake District as part of a training camp on my own. It's within perfect distance of Wastwater and it's also just a step away from an amazing trail run/walk route. The team that work at Church Stile Farm are so polite and helpful, whether it's running the shop or keeping the facilities clean. I also witnessed them lending out a tent to a family whose tent had not survived the harsh night and even offered to help them put up the tent. I was amazed by the staff, as well as the amazing views that are provided. The surrounding mountains project an unimaginable scene whilst also making you feel hidden and protected from Mother Nature force. There's no signal around the campsite (at least not for me) but that was not a problem as the site provided fast free WIFI at their shop. It was truly a pleasure staying with Church Stile Farm.

Things to do on site and in the Seascale area
There is neighbouring oak woodland with lovely paths to explore, ideal for a nature ramble or morning stroll.
If you fancy the seaside, it's only a 10 minute drive to Seascale Beach from Church Stile, which has a new play park and ice cream parlour that'll keep beachgoers happy.
Nearby Wastwater Lake is ideal for kayaking, canoeing and rowing in a breath-taking landscape. Grab a picnic and relax by the water, or take a dip in one of the designated safe areas.
Of course, it wouldn't be the Lakes without great walking country. From lovely fells to surreal valleys, it's all right here. Wasdale is also famous for its climbing opportunities and the nearby National Trust's Scafell Pike is a great place to take on the challenge.
