About the site
A relaxed, dog and family friendly campsite at the base of the Peak District National Park, great for exploring Thorpe and Dovedale. Surrounded by farmland and enjoying stunning views of the Manifold Valley, this site is great for a holiday full of exploring. There are a range of pitches available from spacious 9m x 12m grass pitches, some with a 6 or 10 amp electric hook up, to hardstanding pitches with a 10 amp hook up and space for an awning. Or, if you are travelling solo, there are some backpacker pitches with the option to bring a vehicle with you. Both tents, trailer tents, campervans and caravans are all welcome. Up to six people are allowed on all of the pitches, minus the backpacker pitches which allow one person per pitch. This Derbyshire campsite is well located and within easy reach of lots of key attractions within the Peak District National Park. Within a ten minute drive, you will find the Peak Wildlife Park and Ilam Park, great for days out exploring with the whole family! Campfires and BBQs are permitted but must be contained or raised off the ground. There are fire baskets to rent and logs available to purchase. The site is dog friendly and two dogs per pitch are accepted, there is even a spacious field where you can exercise your dog.
The site is open for the early May bank holiday, the 15th - 17th May, May half term, 4th - 7th June. Then from 18th June to 31st August. Stay from £13/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).

Yes, day visitors are accepted at Common End Farm, as long as permission is obtained in advance of the visitor's arrival. Cars must also be parked in the car park, and there is a small charge per visitor. During summer holiday weekends and bank holidays, day visitors are not permitted.

Yes, Common End Farm allows gazebos for a small extra fee, but they must not be larger than 3m x 3m. Pup tents and awnings are free of charge, please just add them to your booking.
