Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Ali and Tim made us feel very welcome and were really helpful. We enjoyed seeing the chickens free ranging around the site, although a little disappointed that they hadn't laid the day we wanted their eggs! We visited Peak Wildlife Park and Ilam (NT); both within easy reach and both worth a visit.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We arrived Friday afternoon to a busy site but we never struggled all weekend to get to the facilities and have a morning shower. The pot wash was under cover so if the weather was bad, it was fine. The showers were warm and very clean and also, no charge. On our day of leaving which we had to be off the site at 12 noon, we were asked how long we were going to be as they needed access to the field, we were only 4 mins late leaving the pitch. Overall, a great site great location and the weather made it a fab weekend.

A note from the site themselves...

We are a quiet site, located just inside the southern tip of the Peak District National Park, surrounded by farmland but with easy road access to nearby towns.

We offer a relaxed and basic camping experience, but with the essentials of modern, clean facilities and onsite wardens. Plus, there is plenty of green space for children to play away from other campers. You can watch from your tent or join in with other families in a game of cricket on a summer's evening.

After that, and with the sun setting, enjoy time with friends and family around a fire basket watching the embers glow into the evening. We hope to welcome you to the site soon, Annabel and the team
