About the site

Lying on the Manifold River and the grounds of a Victorian farmhouse, Bank House Farm is the ideal base for your break in the Peak District! It's located in a pretty hamlet of Hulme End, just 20 minutes from bustling Ashbourne and the spa town of Buxton. Spread across 15 acres, the site is home to spacious riverside and non-riverside pitches for campers and tourers. Choose from grass and hardstanding pitches with the option of 16 amp electric hook-ups as well as large fully serviced pitches (water and grey waste facilities) too. The Meadow Field is just over a toll bridge for relaxed and freestyle camping, with all facilities around a five-minute walk away. Alternatively, the Top Field is on the same side as the facilities, with electric and non-electric grass pitches. There is also a fully serviced hardstanding pitch with a semi-enclosed garden complete with 16 amp electric, water and waste drainage. A maximum of two dogs are welcome per pitch, and the site has a great five-acre dog walking field where you can take them for a stroll. Raised fire pits and BBQs are also welcome. The site has previously won the Platinum Loo of the Year award multiple times, for its modern facilities with underfloor heating.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Top Field)Jul 2025

We loved our stay at Bank House Farm. We stayed with our 7 year old grandson at the Top Field and had the most wonderful views. The camp site was immaculate, with the most stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There was a very well stocked shop, a very clean washing up area and the men's and ladies toilet and shower block were kept extremely clean at all times. The staff were lovely, so welcoming and helpful. On arrival at the reception area Ian was great and showed us to our pitch and offered help and advice about the site and surrounding area. Right across the road from the camp site was a lovely pub serving great cooked breakfasts and also at the weekend there was a lady with a van providing breakfasts in the morning and pizza in the evening. We couldn't wish for a better place to stay.

Site's response
