About the site
This family friendly site is an ideal base for those looking to explore the North Devon coastline with great connections to major and minor beaches. Each beach has something different to offer, from snorkelling to rock pools, amusements to surfing lessons. All whilst being ten minutes drive away from Exmoor National Park!
The site offers tent only pitches measuring 12m x 12m with 16 amp electric hook ups in two fields, the Top Field and Bottom Field. Best suited for tents with a maximum size of 8m x 4m.
There are pitches suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes measuring 12m x 12m in the same two fields, also with 16 amp electric hook ups .
Guests wanting fully serviced pitches will find them in the Bottom Field and the Lake Field. They are hardstanding pitches with fresh water, grey water points and 16 amp electric hook ups. The Bottom Field pitches measure 12m x 12m, and the Lake Field pitches measure 10m x 12m. Both are suitable for campervans, caravans and motorhomes.
If you are looking for a touch more comfort, why not book one of the lakeside bell tents? They come unfurnished and can sleep up to six people, so bring everything you would normally bring to sleep when camping, minus the tent. They do include a fridge, a kettle, a heater, an outdoor gas BBQ and picnic tables so you can cook up a feast whilst looking over the lake.
There are camping pods that sleep four. They also come unfurnished, so you will again need to bring everything you normally need to sleep when camping, minus the tent. They include a lockable door, lighting, a fridge, a kettle, an outdoor gas BBQ and a picnic table. Some are lakeside, ideal for long fishing days.
After a long day at the beach or fishing, enjoy a meal at The Bent Peg where you will find a children's play area. Or pick up a takeaway from the bar and kitchen, including local draft beers, lagers, ciders and real ales!
Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads and supervised. Breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted.
Open fires are not permitted. Gas or charcoal BBQs are allowed but must be raised off the ground.
The site's facilities include a toilet and shower block, with a separate family space including baby changing, toilets and showers. There are also accessible facilities available. Guests will find a shop onsite for camping and food essentials, a washing up area, means to freeze ice packs, Calor gas exchange and electric vehicle charging.
There is a bar and kitchen onsite called The Bent Peg, serving food and drink five days a week. The bar is open Wednesday to Saturday, 5pm until late, and Sunday 12pm until late. The kitchen is open Wednesday to Saturday 5pm to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 7pm.
There is a children's play area set next to the bar and kitchen with a separate car park. Food and drink takeaways are also available. Free WiFi is available at the bar.
There is a 1.5 acre onsite lake where guests are able to fish Common Carp, Chubb, Bream, Roach and Rudd. The site often holds tournaments and competitions. There is a toilet and car park close to the lake for easy access to equipment. Guests will need to get a day fishing pass from the reception and have a rod licence.
There is a bus stop called Mill Park just outside the site with regular services to Woolacombe, Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple.

What time is check-in and check out at Mill Park Touring Site?
Check-in is available from 3pm until 9pm, if you are going to be delayed please let the site know. Check out is due before 10am on your last day. Please note that if you arrive after 9pm you will not be permitted access to your allocated pitch/unit until the following morning.
Is Mill Park Touring Site dog-friendly?
The site is dog friendly, with two dogs permitted to join you for a small extra charge. The bell tents do not allow dogs. Breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not accepted.
Does Mill Park Touring Site allow awnings, gazebos or pup tents?
Yes, awnings, gazebos and pup tents are welcome on all of the pitches, just please select this option when booking (charges may apply). If you are bringing an awning, a breathable ground sheet must be used, pup tents must also only be used for storage.

Things to do on site and in the Ilfracombe area
This site is a great base to explore North Devon and its many sandy beaches. Just a 20 minute walk from the site is Broadsands Beach, a sandy beach with a large grass area close by, ideal for ball games, spending the day searching the rock pools, or water sports like kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and canoeing.
A five minute drive will take you to Combe Martin Beach and Hele Beach. There are many scenic walks that cut through Comb Beach where you can paddle board, enjoy a BBQ in the designated area or just relax on the sand. Hele Beach is a great spot for snorkelling due to the clear water, and after you can grab a bite to eat at one of the local pubs.
Woolacombe Beach is a 25 minute drive away from the site and has plenty to keep you occupied. ou can enjoy the classic beach plans of sunbathing and swimming, or try surfing the waves with a surf lesson from one of the many nearby schools, Woolacombe is known for
Funder Island is a 20 minute walk from Woolacombe Beach or a 20 minute drive from the site, where you can enjoy some family friendly fun with mini golf, bumper cars and other seaside attractions.
